Turkey and Cheese Bites are a sponsored post brought to you by Hillshire Farm Naturals™.
When my oldest was little she was the pickiest eater ever!
We pretty much had to distract her by going for a walk and bring fun food with us to get her to eat dinner. These were her favorites. We called them “Mama style meat rolls”. I have no idea where this name came from but it stuck. I’d make a handful of them and then we would go for a walk. Every time we started to go up a hill she would get another one to eat. It became a game but I was totally okay with that because I knew she was eating! I removed the tooth pick before giving it to her and the olive went straight onto her finger and she ate it last after using it to point out every bird within seeing distance. Good times!
Back then we didn’t have as many choices for meat as we do today.
I wish that Hillshire Farm Naturals™ were around then. It would have been my go to choice for meat, especially since they contain no artificial ingredients, preservatives, colors or added nitrites/nitrates. They are slow roasted and perfectly seasoned. All of that makes this new lunch meat safe, healthy and delicious!
I decided to make my in-laws this as an afternoon smack.
I served my Turkey and Cheese Bites to them by the pool with some ice cold water with sliced lemons. They were a hit and I’ll be making them for the next football game too!
My Turkey and Cheese Bites are perfect as snacks, the main course of a meal, and as appetizers!
Here is the recipe.
