Before we left for Europe, I stopped at Target to pick up some travel necessities like the all-new Up & Up Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablet. I love how convenient it is to buy them at Target while we are doing the rest of our shopping and that it provides 24-hour relief from heartburn!

I myself have had heartburn before, like when I was pregnant and Pete has started having it frequently (2 or more times a week) so he decided he needed to start treating it. This is especially the case when we travel so that he doesn’t miss any of the fun being uncomfortable or having to worry about skipping some foods. It seems that eating things he wouldn’t normally eat and traveling are triggers for his heartburn, so I thought this was a really solid plan.

Not only did I purchase it, I even remembered to actually pack the UP & Up Omeprazole ODT too! Ha! I can’t be the only one with good intentions but it seems to slip my mind when push comes to shove, right?

Due to its long-lasting protection, this tablet is an ideal choice for frequent heartburn sufferers like Pete, because 1 Dose taken every 24 hours for 14 days is easy to take even if we are traveling or just busy at home.  Plus it is Strawberry-flavored, for a pleasant taste and he doesn’t even need water to take it since it dissolves without it. We learned that for best consumption experience, allow the tablet to dissolve on your tongue. Do not chew Omeprazole ODT tablets or dissolve in liquid.

A couple of things to remember… You should not take Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets for more than 14 days or more frequently than every four months unless directed by your doctor. While some may get relief in the first 24 hours, it may take 1-4 days for full effect.

I’d say Pete was more than happy not to have heartburn while we were on vacation! Especially if it meant getting to enjoy this plate of delicious treats!
