Easy Sunrise Smoothie is a sponsored post partnership with FoodSaver® Vacuum Sealer.

As the days get shorter we always add more healthy fruits and veggies to our diets.
Easy Sunrise Green Smoothie is one of our favorites. We love it because it tastes great, but also because it is really easy to make. You just add a few ingredients to a blender and you have breakfast in minutes. To make this even easier we prep all of our smoothies at the beginning of the week. This saves us time on busy mornings, but it also makes sure that we don’t waste any money on spoiled produce.
Here is how we do it…

My oldest created this Green Sunrise Smoothie recipe and it’s the best green smoothie I’ve ever had.
You will need:
- 1 medium banana
- 1 orange
- 1 apple
- 1/2 cup of spinach, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup of milk of your choice, we use coconut, soy or almond to make it vegan

This is how we do the prep each week.
We layer all the ingredients into a FoodSaver® Vacuum Sealer bag. “The FoodSaver® FM2000-000 Vacuum Sealing System keeps food fresh up to 5x longer and saves up to $2700 per year based on buying in bulk, on sale and preventing waste.” And I love how easy it is to use! The sleek design on this model makes it perfect for keeping on the counter top.

And then we seal away!
We make one for each family member. The great part is that they can be customized for each of us too. I love a little extra spinach and The Little One likes extra oranges so we both get to have it the way we want.

FoodSaver® Vacuum Sealer took us 10 seconds to set up… we just plug it in and this was the result after 30 seconds. No more fruit going bad in this household.
Each morning we take out our own bag, add it all to the blender along with the milk and blend away. This totally makes for much better mornings.

FoodSaver® Vacuum Sealer is also great for other things, like keeping cheese and coffee beans fresh.
I can’t wait to use it to keep leftovers fresh for longer by sealing leftovers and then freezing them… instant freezer meals for later! I’ve also seen people use it to keep first aid kits safe from water and moisture when boating, and as an organization tool for small pieces. Just seal them up and they will all be there next time you need them. I plan to seal cups of chopped onions and then freeze them to save time when making meals. The possibilities are endless.
How you would use the FoodSaver® Vacuum Sealer.

I would love this! Hubby just got a smoker and we plan to make jerky for Christmas gifts. I’m also drying apple rings and this would be perfect to preserve and package as gifts at Christmas. I love the smoothie recipe. Will try! Thanks!
I could use this.. since i started to clean eat i make allot of food that i can eat later on..
I have wanted a vacuum sealer for ages. This sounds like a great one.
I want one of these.. like really want. My friend and I were just talking about these.
I’ve always wanted to use a food saver! I think this would be a great investment and money saver!
This seems to be the new thing everyone is having. I gotta try it!
What a brilliant idea! I can’t believe I never thought of doing that with my fruit before! I absolutely love my foodsaver! I literally just used it 20 minutes ago to package up 40 lbs of chicken for the freezer! I use my foodsaver all the time!
I’d actually give it to my daughter. She’s got a place of her own and loves to cook. She doesn’t cook for more than just herself so putting leftovers or portions in the freezer for later use would be perfect!
Vacuum sealers are awesome! And so are green smoothies — yay for kids who eat spinach!
Wow, that would sure save time, plus it encourages healthy eating since it’s simple even when in a hurry!
I’ve never seen that before! (I’ve been living under a rock apparently) Glad I saw your post and thanks for sharing
I could totally use this. I do a lot of freezing, and vacuum sealing would make all my frozen foods last longer.
I need a Food Saver. It’s so hard to keep fresh fruit from going bad before you’re ready to eat it.
I would use it to marinate my meals. I also would use it to buy in bulk and freeze meats for future use.
I Really Need To Get One OfThese The Money I Would Save Thank You Great Review!!
My daughter and I enjoy making smoothies together. We’ll have to give this recipe a try. I love the Food Saver idea too. It looks like it keeps food fresh and being able to keep all the ingredients together saves a lot of time.
I would use it to save all of the great produce we have at the Farmer’s Markets here in North Carolina. I buy so much but can never eat it all before it gets bad…and we all know fresh food is expensive. This would be great- I want summer corn in the middle of winter!
I always see these things when I’m shopping in kitchen sections of stores! Glad I now have the scoup on them! Thanks 🙂
What a great idea! This would save so much money and waste. That smoothie sounds delicious!
What a cool idea. I love how organized you are. I have a green smoothie once a day, so I’m looking forward to trying your recipe.
We have a Foodsaver, and it’s awesome. I vacuum seal anything that I’m not going to eat in two days. My food stays super fresh.
I want to be able to buy produce in bulk and do similar to how you have done here. We shop at Costco but I can never buy their bulk packages since we’d never eat them in time. A FoodSaver would help me save money that way. We’d probably be able to the same with all sorts of foods. Thanks!
I remember when our vacuum sealer broke. We went out and got a replacement within the hour. That’s how much we love them.
Thanks for the awesome review and recipe. I have tried to figure out how to add spinach to our smoothies now I know.
This would be fantastic! I do so much food prep for us and our bird I’ve been considering a food saver!
I have always wanted to have a vacuum sealing gadget at home. It’s a good tool to help seal food that you put in wraps so they don’t smell when they’re left in the fridge.
Wow! I never thought to do this! Great idea and recipe!
This sounds like a great product! I really need something like it.
I really love green smoothies. This one looks fabulous!
I have always wanted a vacuum sealer! I would use it for my meats especially.
This is such a fabulous idea! I would love to have everything prepped for my week- I know I’d be on track to kicking this baby weight!
I’ve been wanting one of these for such a long time. I am trying to determine if the refills are worth the cost.
What a fabulous time-saving idea! I need to start doing this! Would make busy mornings a lot less stressful.
I NEED a food saver! Oh and the smoothie would be great as well!
We have been dying for a food saver for years. I would love to get one for christmas.
I have always wanted to get a food saver because I am always throwing spoiled produce away. I love the idea of making individual smoothie bags.
I have been thinking about getting one of these. I think it would really cut down on food waste.
I absolutely love the foodsaver vacuum.
My mom only goes shopping on sundays with my dad, because she can’t walk far and they’re far from the market, so I would give this to my mom so she can stock up and not worry about her veggies going bad as fast. , can she can prep her meat early and leave them in the fridge neatly instead of bulky bowls
I have been thinking about getting this and this post really pushes me to do so. Thanks for the push 🙂
I have always wanted one of these. I buy my meat in bulk so I would love to have one to keep the meat fresh in the freezer longer.
My husband has been wanting one of these for awhile, I think I should get it for him for Christmas.
This looks like a great product. I could use this to freeze meat that we buy in bulk.
I could buy bulk and break down to portions. Also, this would be great to have precut soups ready to cook.
That’s so much better than chopping it all up every day. I have one of those machines too!
This is a great product. Saves food and time. Thanks for sharing!
That looks very healthy! Smart idea chopping it up & storing it early on.
I have literally ALWAYS wanted one! They actually look fun!
A very healthy start to the day, I tend to have a smoothie like this every morning!
I have always wanted one of these nifty machines. I would use it so that I could buy meat in bulk at Sams. Then I could easily split it up into multiple meals. I could even make individual chicken breasts into a bag so that my husband has a quick, easy meal on Wednesdays.
