Here is the next installment of our family friendly vacation in Las Vegas series! Today I’m sharing about a fun family friendly activity. Thank you so much to the The Big Apple Coaster & Arcade for hosting us on a day of family fun.
Pete and my older two are roller coaster aficionado.
That may be a bit of a stretch, but they really do love going on them. For years we’ve seen The Big Apple Coaster & Arcade from the Vegas strip and always wanted to ride the roller coaster and check out the arcade. On this trip we made it happen!
Pete’s one word description after riding the The Big Apple Coaster was INTENSE!
This thrilling ride is the “world’s first coaster to feature a 180-degree “heartline” twist and dive maneuver, providing more than 1.4 million riders with heart-stopping action and excitement each year”.
This is more than just a ride though.
It starts above the casino gaming floor and moves outside where it climbs really high giving riders a great view of the strip. The flow is very intense and fast and the loop is awesome to experience. It’s not a smooth ride at all, it’s more “jarring” which gives riders a bigger t hrill!
We recommend going at night as the best time to ride because you can see the lights on the strip.

Looks like a great trip! I will have to add it to my must do list!
I’ve seen this ride so many times but I’m always so afraid to go on it haha It looks like super fun though!
My husband did this while we were there, but I sat it out. Roller coasters are not for me, but he loved it.
when we went to LV, we went as a family.. we did not go on the coaster but we did hang out in the arcade.. I cannot wait to go back!
Looks like a fun ride!!!! I would love to take a ride 😉
OH man, what a cool experience although frightening. I’d totally do it though!
That looks like so much fun! I love roller coasters!!
This looks like so much fun. We love thrill rides like these.
Oh wow. Looks like fun. I always like when they offer the photographs at the end. Great way to remember the fun.
I love roller coasters. It has been a few years since i was at a adventure park.
My husband would love this. I, on the other hand, get the nervous sweats just looking at a rollercoaster.
This looks like a great time for anyone that loves roller coasters. Thanks for sharing this!
Wow! Las Vegas has changed so much over the years. We used to go to see amazing shows (I’ve seen Dolly Parton, Don Rickels, Bob Newhart, Jack Benny, Wayne Newton, Liberace, Lynda Carter, Jerry Seinfeld, Siegfried and Roy (before they were famous!) and dozens more. At that time we dressed for dinner and the show. We gambled. There were very few children in this adult environment. But over the years things changed, and the powers that be realized they were losing out on an entire market: Families! Now Las Vegas is family friendly, the shows are few and far between, no one puts on a dress or suit for anything, and yes, there are roller coasters! My, oh my, what a new and exciting place this has become! Makes me wonder why those casinos are closing their doors to lack of profit. Any ideas?
That looks AWESOME!! We have not been to Vegas yet but this would be a must do/see for us!
Whoa I don’t think I can ride that coaster. I’m scared to turn 180 degrees! That will pump up my adrenaline up high for sure.
We’ve talked about going to Vegas a couple times but just haven’t gotten there yet. Will definitely put this on the list, my sons would love it!
I love the coaster in Vegas! I sat in the front when I went 🙂
Wow! That is an intense ride. I’ll do it just once.
I love being scared SO MUCH on being on roller coasters!!! Well, as long as I’m strapped in good. There’s a couple of roller coasters at Canada’s Wonderland (near Toronto) which are brutal, and they feel so unsafe I can’t bare to go on them any more lol.
I’ve never been on a roller coaster. Never.
I’ve already wanted to ride the coaster at the NYNY hotel. Its such a cool looking thing!
Boy, I won’t do this alone. Love to try it though.
That looks like so much fun!!I would love to go there and see this, but not ride it. :p
Looks fun! Can’t wait to visit Vegas too.
I’m sooooo jealous! I really want to visit this city.
I envy you – I wonder when will I be able to have gun in Vegas? haha! Seems a lot of fun!
look slike so much fun!
I would love to go to Vegas someday! I am not into casinos, but they have so many attractions like this roller coaster that I know I would have an amazing time! This looks like such a perfect day!
If you took a picture of me on a roller coaster you’d see buggy eyes and crocodile tears. No roller coasters for me…
Such great pictures. We’re a roller coaster family and this one looks fun.
Sounds like everyone had a wonderful time indeed. I am not a fan of roller coaster by my kids are for sure. I wouldn’t mind the arcade at all. lol I would love to go here with the family. Thanks for sharing.
I’d love to go to Las Vegas some day! It looks like so much fun!
I absolutely love rollercoasters! I never would have thought to get married on one, though!
I’ve been to Las Vegas several times but never get on the roller coasters. My husband on the other hand loves roller coasters.
I am a huge fan of roller coasters so this looks absolutely awesome and it looks like your kids enjoyed themselves. Always nice to get out of the house 🙂
I used to love roller coasters when I was younger but not so much now. And I’ve never liked heights so I’m out on the roller coaster ride. I do love Vegas though!
Ok, I want to get married on a coaster. I might already be married but it take taking the plunge to a whole new level.
