Last Wednesday we all headed up to our home away from home…Disneyland! It was not only a celebration for my birthday (!!!) but also for Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On The Road! It really was a magical day for us!
We woke up bright and early and by 6:30 am we were on the road! With very little traffic, we made it up to the celebration in no time at all! I checked into the conference room at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Pete and the girls set off to enjoy the parks.
I spent the morning getting excited for all the new fun that will be coming to both Disneyland and Disney World and some surprises sprinkled throughout the event! This is my 4th celebration that I have attended, but my first “on the road” one… and, they just keep getting better.
If you are not familiar with Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, they are considered some of the best, if not the best events to be invited to. The other three that I have attended were multi-day events. My first one was at Disneyland and the next two at Disney World. The first Disney World celebration we attended was actually mine and the girls first time at Disney World, so that made it even more special!
I was really excited to experience an “on the road” event since I had heard great things about it. Bonus points that Disney is so awesome that they even invited our families to attend too, and enjoy the day at the parks while we enjoyed some Disney magic of our own!
The celebration started with a delicious breakfast and then a line up of speakers to both inspire and entertain us. Tiffani Amber Thiessen lead the way with a talk about how she didn’t let her anything stop her from following her dreams and being the best she can be for her family.
After her, Ginger Zee from Good Morning America shared with us how she balances a life filled with so much adventure while still putting family first!
My absolute favorite part of the morning was seeing an early clip of Moana! We are in love with Hawaii after visiting O’ahu earlier this year, and this movie has all the feels. I can’t wait to share it with the girls when it is in theaters Thanksgiving weekend!
MOANA is an adventurous, tenacious and compassionate 16-year-old who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. Along the way, she discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
There was so much more to his really special day and we included it all in our daily video:
When was the last time you visited Disneyland?
This looks like a great event.
This birthday celebration sounds like just the fun way moms need to take a break from it all and have some fun at Disney. I’ve never been to Disneyland but it is on my bucket list!
That looks like it was so much fun! Family friendly blog conferences are always the best. It’s so much fun to be able to bring along the family.
I agree! I love family friendly conferences because we usually come early or stay late and have a little vacation.
What a great way to combine business with pleasure! That birthday celebration must have been such an amazingly magical experience.
This sounds like an amazing experience! I would love to visit Disneyland!
I can’t think of a sweeter place for a birthday celebration!! I could go for a Disney mom break too!

ohhhh you got to hear all about Moana – so jealous! And those light up the night ears are something special. I have a WDW pair from about 4 years ago and I still love them.
I am so excited for Moana! It looks like it’s going to be such a good movie.

Living in California for 24 years I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting Disneyland, it seems like the place to have the time of your life. I’d love to visit when there is an event happening, how exciting. The movie Moana sounds really good. I love the message.
It’s so cool that you were able to go to this event. Seeing the new Moana clip must have been great. I can’t wait to hear more about that movie.
