This is by far my favorite mac n’ cheese ever! It really is the best. It’s the best for taste and how easy it is to make… and cleanup… one pot, that’s it!
I first posted about this almost a year and a half ago but the pictures did not do it justice even though it’s one of my most popular posts ever. You can get the recipe here. You will not believe how easy it is. It also takes exactly the same amount of time as the boxes stuff {I times it}, but there are no added chemicals or other fillers. You know exactly what you are eating and you can feel good about feeding it to your kiddos. It’s certainly not diet food so it’s not something to eat everyday {you will want to, trust me}, but when you are craving Mac n’ Cheese… this is it!
I’ve made a few changes to the recipe lately to suit my changing tastes {why they are changing now is beyond me} I now use extra sharp cheddar cheese and a shake of garlic powder. I also add the butter to the milk before the pasta is added. This helps everything melt together and blend into the creamiest sauce you will ever taste!
Enjoy!
Wishing you a peaceful Memorial Day Weekend and thank you so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday.
Come Back Soon!

Thanks Helen!
Oh, we are definitely Mac-n-Cheese junkies around here. Could eat it every day, three times a day. If only it wasn’t already SO HOT! I don’t relish the idea of turning on the oven. BUT, this just might tempt me to do so this coming week!!! 🙂
I think it would make a great crockpot recipe for the when it’s too hot to turn on the oven… I’m going to give it a try later and let you know!
Yum! I love homemade mac and cheese! Thanks for sharing at Pinworthy Projects.
Thanks for visiting Carrie!
