Thank you to The Cheesecake factory for inviting us to the soft grand opening of their new
Westfield North County Escondido location. All opinions are my own.

Last week Pete and I attended a media event for The Cheesecake Factory at their new location in the Westfield North County Mall. We were thrilled to attend and even happier that there is now a Cheesecake Factory so close to both our home and office. It’s almost exactly in between both and will make a great place to meet clients for lunch or have a good family meal… although if I’m being completely honest, this will also be our new go-to date night restaurant. We have been dreaming about having a Cheesecake Factory up in North San Diego County and we are thrilled it’s finally happened!

I have a lot to say about this new location, but I wanted to start with this picture first. The Cheesecake! So delicious…

The Escondido Cheesecake Factory has the same architectural design as all the other locations but with an updated feel. A little more wow factor! More lights? More excitement!

Like other locations, the staff is impeccable and eager to please! Happy people make great food. It’s a fact! I love their motivational talks before they start their shifts. It was fun sitting in on one and feeling their excitement too!

Due to the “ambiance” lighting, my pictures are a bit dark, but I think you can still see how great the food looks. This is my favorite drink {non-alcoholic}, the sugar-rimmed lemonade. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and sour.

We started our meal with the Parmesan Polenta Fries with the Marinara Dipping Sauce. They were really good. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Neither of us had tried this before and I’m so glad we finally did. This is definitely a new favorite. I really suggest trying something new the next time you are here. They are constantly adding new dishes to their menu and I have always loved everything I’ve tries, but it’s really fun to try new things!

If you like eggplant you have to order The Incredible Grilled Eggplant Sandwich. I’m not sure I can even put into words just how awesome this sandwich is. It literally melts in your mouth and the flavors work really well together. For a vegetarian dish it’s really filling and substantial. It’s also very flavorful. I can’t recommend it enough!

And then there was the Herb Crusted Filet Of Salmon served with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus! I’m told it’s as beautiful as it is tasty!

Pete had The Factory Burrito. It was HUGE and Pete said it was great!

The only difficult part of our evening was deciding on what cheesecake to order. I’ve had quite a few flavors over the years and one of my favorites is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake so that’s what we went with. It was awesome as usual, so much so that I ate it before I had a chance to take a picture.

I loved this gift card tree where you could easily buy a gift card on your way out. Brilliant gift idea I might add!

You can come and see the new Cheesecake Factory too! They are officially open as of November 26th, 2013! A couple of tips. I’d expect that The Cheesecake Factory is going to be very popular which means busy. If you don’t have time to wait there are two things that you can do to avoid it. First, come during the “off” hours. Have an early dinner at 5 pm instead of 6 pm. Consider having brunch on Sunday right at 10 am when they open instead of noon. Secondly, you can always get your food to go!

Thank you again to The Cheesecake Factory for a great evening! We love dining at the new Escondido location and we will be back very soon!
