I love discovering new ways to bring happiness to my life and those of my readers and I am so excited to share that Mad Life Season 3 is here. This post is a sponsored post partnership so that I can share all about these new videos.
It’s been 9 months since I decided to just be happy.
That sounds strange right? But it’s totally true. This past year has been crazy good. My good year started one day when I decided to see the good in any and all situations. To wake up each morning knowing it’s going to be a good day. Does it always work? No, I still have bad days but I don’t let them get to me like they did before. I let go of things I can’t control and focus on what I can… and I really appreciate all that I have to be thankful for in my life.
I love when I find other people who are on the same mission as I am to have a better life, be happy and be awesome parents. It’s even better when they like to laugh too! The Mad Life video series is all of this and more!
CafeMom Studios is in its third season of producing an awesome video series called Mad Life.
Mad Life is sponsored by Target and hosted by Andrew Shue. Yes, THAT Andrew Shue! They tackle topics that we are all thinking about as parents in a funny way and they have some that really get you thinking too.
This one called “Enjoying The Simple Things” really spoke to me.
I love how Andrew just gets it. I spent my summer doing the same thing. Enjoying the simple {or small things as I call them}.
If you haven’t seen a Mad Life video before you are going to really enjoy them.
The panel on the videos are top notch! Andrew Shue is the host and is joined by his mother in law Joanie Robach and his good friend Chuck Nice. I love that they tackle each situation with good advice and tons of humor! You can learn more about them here.
Us enjoying the simple things with a walk on the beach and looking for sea creatures.
Here is the latest episode which I could totally relate to.
Mad Life Beauty Break – Shine Made Simple. The Mad Life Glam Squad got a plea from a mom who wants Sofia Vergara’s luminous hair and sultry eyes. They show her – and us that with the right products, any mom can go from drab to fab! I’m going to be following these tips because I want gorgeous hair and eyes too!
Head on over to Mad Life to see even more awesome episodes and be sure to grab a cup of coffee or tea beforehand. They are great to sit back and watch while enjoying something to drink. I couldn’t stop at watching just one… I kept seeing more and more that I just had to watch!

I enjoyed unplugging for a week on vacation.. there was no service so no work could be done..
snuggling with my kids and watching a family movie. It was simple, yet so relaxing. This is a great show
Many years ago, long before cell phones and the Internet, I was laying on a beach in Mexico with my best friend. Our husbands were out fishing and we were listening to a Spanish radio station, not understanding even one word. I turned to her and said, “The man just announced the world has come to an end, but we don’t care because we’re here on the beach!”.
My husband and I made a Shutterfly book together with pictures of our vacation. The vacation was fun, and reliving the memories was great too!
It’s true. You can either choose to be negative or choose to be happy. Glad things are going so well 🙂
Wow, it seems like Mad Life really is something the average woman, or parent, could relate to. Sometime sit’s nice to see intelligent programming for adults that gets us evaluating our lives!
One of the simple moments that I always enjoy the most is the moment when I’ve finished a particularly challenging post. That’s always a great feeling.
Simple moments are always the best. For me, one the best simple moments is hitting my soft comfy mattress after a hard day. That’s nice.
Me too! I can totally see relaxing in my bed and watching Mad Life on my laptop!
My favorite simple moment lately is driving my son to school in the morning and just talking the entire time. I love that I have the time to sit and listen to him while we spend 30 to 40 minutes together on the car ride. I was just thinking about how much I treasure this time and will be sad when he is older and takes a school bus.
My favorite little moments are when one of my dogs wants to cuddle. I love those guys.
My favorite simple moment is when I finally crawl into bed at about 2:00 AM after a long, long day of working for clients. The bed always feels so much nicer when you’re truly exhausted.
I just bought a house with my dad, sister and brother we plan to fix it up and flip it. My sister and I are short, 5 ‘ 2″ ish well my dad put us in charge of painted the drywall ceiling. Needless to say we could hardly reach and even with attachment poles we had to stand on our tip toes by the end of the night there was more paint on us than there was the ceiling. It was fine though, because we laughed the entire time and had a great time together.
Lately I’ve been slowing down and enjoying the simple/small things in life. It truly makes my happy and makes life worth living <3
Sounds like a really great show and I definitely need to watch it! Thanks for sharing it with me.
I really like Andrew Shue and will have to check out Mad Life. He still looks twenty something … must be doing something right!
How fun! I love having something worthwhile on the computer while I am doing house chores. These are going to be my new fav!
My new favorite simple moment is eating dinner with the kids and hearing about their day. Now that they are in school I make it a priority every night to not have the tv while eating.
Good for you for making that change! I think our attitudes really are everything, makes such a difference!
I need to look into watching this! Looks great!
A simple moment I enjoyed lately was bringing my son for a car ride, and getting a coffee. It is great to just be with him.
That is just awesome… I sometimes forget to be a part of the moment. I am always trying so hard to capture it, that I forget to enjoy it
Just watching my daughter be happy- babies seem entertained by the simplest things in the world.
My new favourite simple moment is listening to the kids talk about their day at school – they have so much excitement in their eyes!
I love spending time with my daughter. She just makes me so happy.
I’d never heard of this before. It looks great! I love that you decided to be happy. I think I need that, especially right now while my kids are young and every day is a struggle. Thanks so much!
My kids are finally in school all day and on their first day after dropping them off I came home and cleaned. It was so nice to have it stay clean all day.
Great post! I love going unplugged!
i think i need to check out mad life.. it sounds like it was made FOR ME!
I completely understand what you are saying about deciding to be happy 🙂 xo
Waking up with a positive thought helps start a happy day =)
It is so important to enjoy the simple things in life and focus on what makes us happy. More people need to step back and concentrate on doing this.
My daughter and I were in Florida on vacation and during the afternoon rain shower, we just curled up in our beds and took a nap for a couple of hours. It was blissful.
I love when you can really unplug and just enjoy the little moments with your family!
xo,
caitlin
Loved this post! Simple moments are often the best kind of moments to spend with our families. I love just read at night with my girls.
Glad you’ve found a great series you love! We’ve just started Breaking Bad…addicted 🙂
I have actually never seen Mad Life – going to go check it all out now!!
I have seen this show before. It sounds right up my alley though! I totally get where you are coming from when you say “it’s been 9 months since I decided to just be happy”. I made that decision two years ago. I am so much happier now. 🙂
Yesterday we got home from the library and my 3-year-old sat beside me and unpacked his book choices and we read all 12 of them right then and there. It was an hour of snuggly wonderful time!
Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things, in which smiles and kindness, and small obligations given habitually, are what preserve the heart and secure comfort. We should all learn to live happy with little things which we come across every day.
This sounds like a great show and one I would enjoy. I have never seen it but will make sure to check it out.
I choose to be happy… and I try to sneak off with my family ad just relax and have hold fashioned family fun as much as I can.
I’m glad you choose to be happy and live every moment that way. Life is too short to do anything else. Thanks for sharing a piece of you with us.
Happiness is a choice. There’s almost always something to be happy about in our lives, no matter how simple that thing is. 🙂
I love this, I totally need to hear this today. I need to be happy just like you said. It is a choice!!! Thank you!
What sweet photo’s. I have not heard of this series. I will have to check it out!
This is a very meaningful post. Important to remember what matters in life. Find happiness.
I’ve always enjoyed the simpler things in life-not that it always makes my happy. I never saw one of these videos-think I will!
Love Andrew and life IS good!
I love snuggling with my husband and kiddos. 🙂
Yes happiness is a choice. Unfortunately some of us need an occasional reminder of that. I didn’t realize Andrew Shue was involved with CafeMom. I only know him as the adorable Billy from Melrose Place.
