My grandma wasn’t much of a cook. I got the impression that she didn’t really enjoy it… it was more out of necessity, you know, gotta feed my kids so they don’t call the authorities… but when she did cook she made some of my favorite meals as a child. Top of the list is this salad. It is so delicious and EASY!

Surprise your taste buds with the addition of ranch style beans to this fresh and fulfilling summer (or winter) salad.

Preparation Instructions

This salad makes a beautifully layered salad or just mix it all up! It’s that easy and tastes divine!

PS. Grandma used to serve it mixed and chilled!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Lettuce (any)
  • 2 cups Fritos (crushed)
  • 1 whole Avocado, diced
  • 1 whole Onion, Diced
  • 1 whole Tomato, Diced
  • 1 can Ranch Style Beans (drained)
  • 1 can Black Olives, Chopped
  • 1 cup Creamy Italian (or Any Creamy Dressing)

PS. I posted this on Tasty Kitchen in 2009… and I just remembered it! I’m so happy I did so I could share it with you all!
