Before we knew it, our time in Cancun was coming to an end, and we had to say goodbye to this beautiful place and our lovely host resort, Moon Palace Cancun.

Pete and Em had been heading down to the beach to watch the sun come up, and I finally peeled myself away from my computer and comfy bed to join them down there. It was so beautiful!

We had placed our room service door hanger out for them to collect the night before, so there was coffee and breakfast waiting for us when we got back! I enjoyed mine out on the balcony as I tried to reconcile in my mind that we were going to have to leave this little bit of heaven later that day.

Once we were ready for the day, we headed down to play in the pool one last time.

The waterslide was fun for both the kids and Pete!

Since checkout was a couple hours before we needed to head to the airport, the front desk cheerfully held our luggage while we enjoyed a leisurely lunch. A week later we are still missing the food and attentive service!

Right before we left for the airport, we said one last goodbye!

Then the wonderful people with Olympus Tours arrived in the super clean, air-conditioned, wifi-enabled, and all-around awesome van, to transport us back to the airport. I am so glad they reached out and provided our transportation to and from the airport. We highly recommend them and are so happy to now have a go-to company for transportation and tours when we are in the areas they serve.

We ended up arriving at the airport three hours early just to make sure there was plenty of time for our flights. I would still advise doing this just to be careful, however, we breezed right through security as the airport was very well organized. The departing terminal has a lot of shopping and food options, so even a three-hour wait went by quickly!

Then we were on our way!
