These two live for exercise time!Â
They love to get up and get moving so much that we often have impromptu workouts at places where there is no equipment available… but that never stops them from getting a workout in! They spend at least an hour a day having fun and being active.
With all the traveling we have been doing the girls have been planning workout routines to do together and I asked them to make a special one to share today!
The girls put together 10 of their favorite exercises that can be done anywhere with no equipment needed!
1. Air squats.
They seem to be the ones they always start their workouts with because they are great for stretching! Plus the little one thinks they are fun to do and always tries to walk while doing them!
2. Lunges.
Another favorite that is always one of the first ones they do. They switch legs back and forth in small areas and when they have more room they do walking lunches, where they walk into them using each leg.
A Yoga Ball Chair is the next addition you will want to make for your kids at home fun. Use it instead of a chair when doing schoolwork for better attention spans!
3. Lifts.
The little one becomes the weight! They tend to use whatever is lying around as their weights. Even each other!
If you don’t already have these-Slip-On Memory Foam Sneakers you need them. They are super cheap and the comfiest ever made!Â
4. Single leg jumps.
They jump on one leg into the air in sets of 10 and then switch legs.
5. Sprints or jogging in place.
This might be the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. Inflatable Bubble Balls that you can buy for the kids to play with!Â
6. Burpees.
Lower yourself to the ground into a lower push up position and then jump your feet to your hands and then straight up into the air.
This Arcade Basketball Game Set is also what kids dream about and it is inexpensive which makes it even better! Â
7. Sky Jumps. Touch the ground and then jump straight up! We upped this by adding these Stepping Stones. We have them set up in our hallway and our youngest loves “walking over the lava” using these steps!Â
8. Push-ups. These traditional exercises are still an awesome exercise.Â
Did you know you can actually buy this Inflatable Castle Bounce House?
9. Jumping jacks. Still, a favorite for kids to do! If you are looking to add to your in-house active toys, this Hover Soccer Ball would be perfect!
10. Sit-ups. These girls can do sit-ups like professionals! These are especially great because they can be done inside the house. The weather doesn’t stop them from keeping their bodies healthy.
They also love playing with a 4-in-1 Multi-Game Table and I love that it is budget-friendly and keeps them having fun for hours!
Staying active and exercising is them doing good for their bodies.

My Grandson is learning Yoga in school. I think it is such a great idea to keep kids active.
My girls loooove TruMoo, these are great exercises! Gonna bookmark this!
My 20 year old son loves to run and lifts weights daily. He’s very active and is in great shape. Can I say the back drop of your photos is very stunning? What a view!
First off, these pictures are so pretty! Second, my kids would love this – hubby is into crossfit so they are all about his workouts.
I keep hearing of this burpee and hear that it is no joke! Good for them.
Those are such great ideas. It’s really important to get kids interested in being active.
My kids love TruMoo chocolate milk. They say it’s the creamiest.
Good for them! We like TruMoo, too. I always have a half gallon in the fridge, and do a 1-5 ratio with regular milk, for my daughter.
It’s so important to encourage kids to be active and healthy. I have no problem with video games, but there’s so much electronic distractions these days, physical activity falls by the wayside.
It looks like they had a lot of fun trying these moves! I know my daughter does some of these in her routine.
Thanks so much for sharing these tips! I’ve always tried to instill a love of physical activity and working out in my kids. It’s super important for their health.
This is such a great post. Most kids don’t do enough physical activity in a day, and these are all really fun.
I love the view, is that from your house? Nothing makes me happier than seeing kids being active.
My son has been requesting the TruMoo chocolate milk for a while! He loves chocolate milk – and he loves jumping. 🙂
Wow look at them go! They are enjoying it too! Such great ideas. I will have to get my kids doing all of these asap!
These are great exercises – and it looks like they really enjoy hanging out together. A nice, cold TruMoo sounds so refreshing after a workout.
We love to go for a walk in the afternoons. If Sawyer is just out to play, he loves to get active on his scooter.
I have been trying to get a daily walk in also. I just wish the weather would cooperate.
These look like such great workouts! I’m sure kids will enjoy doing these! Thanks for sharing this with us!
My kids love TruMoo milk! And so does the husband. He drinks it after each of his 16 mile runs to bounce back with protein and sugars in his body. But frankly that stuff is just plain yum!
These are some great ideas! My oldest is a cheerleader so she has all sorts of stretches and moves under her belt. It makes me smile to see her teaching our two youngest daughters too!
What cute little girls you have. I love their bright and colorful outfits.
Such a wonderful ideas! Thank you so much for sharing 😀
My kids love TruMoo too! These are some fun exercises for them to practice too!
My kids were very active when they were younger. My son loves to play sports and gets a lot of exercise.
These are great exercise tips. It is so important for kids to be active.
I like to see kids (and adults) doing good old fashioned exercises – no gym required. What beautiful scenery and girls!
I do many of these same exercises myself on a regular basis so really like these ideas. My kids enjoy riding their bikes, playing frisbee or ball, and running.
These are all really great ideas. We went out today and played disc golf for the first time. I was surprised by how much exercise we got.
No kids, but kids can always find ways to stay busy and active and without equipment that’s for sure.
My toddler loves to imitate me- her favorite right now are squats! To get active, we try to get out to walk, to the playground and Addie is in a sports class! I wish I had the view you have at my house- I would be outside every single day!
This is a great way to keep the kids active. I find that kids these days would rather sit inside on their electronic devices instead of enjoying the outdoors.
My daughter is in track, so running is her thing. She’ll get her exercise by running around our block, and it’s good training for her meets too!
These are awesome ideas! I love incorporating these types of things into our day. Kids are soo much less active than when I was growing up. I love showing the kids you don’t need “stuff” to be entertained.
Okay, these are adorable. I am reading this at the same time that my eight year old is in front of me doing burpies… LOL…
Your children are just beautiful. I love True Moo and exercise is so important. My girls would never sit still either always on the go and always moving. Now in their 20’s they still are beyond active. Your great parents. I loved your Princess Cruise too. I followed every adventure. Oh man! Does that make me not just a blogger but a groupie haha 🙂
I love getting my kids active! Thanks for sharing!
It’s nice to see a fitness post for kids for once. It seems like no one really realizes that kids need to be active and healthy too.
I love TruMoo! All of their drinks are delicious.
Love how your kids are right into fitness with you! Hoping our little family (when we start growing ours) will be like that too!
We jsut play a lot of tag. Your girls are doing a well rounded routine ! following their example
First off, what a pretty view you have!! Second, these are great exercise tips for kids! Thanks for sharing!
YAY for these activities as they encourage kids to an active lifestyle while they’re still young. I’m big on chocolate milk and would love to try TruMoo. I don’t think I’ve seen the brand here in my country but SnR usually brings in stuff from the States so it may just be a matter of time before TruMoo is brought here in PH.
It’s great to stay active and eat properly. They look like they had fun too.
It’s great that your girls are so into being healthy and exercising. My 2 year old runs rings around me, he never stops moving so I think he’ll always be active 🙂
My kiddos would work out just to get the milk. 😉 I’m always in love with your scenery, what a place to live and see every day!
I love this post! My daughter loves working out with me so definitely going to try these.
How fun! Kids can have fun and get a workout with ease. it’s great to do it with them as well.
I wish I were that enthusiastic about getting my exercise! Those two are just adorable and reminding me to get going with my routine.
Now this is awesome, I’ve been looking for a workout to do with the boychild. Can’t wait to try this.
Watching your girls do exercises together was too cute! My son’s in baseball right now, so he gets plenty of exercise
