I am a total wanna-be cook. I try so hard… but I’m just missing the cooking gene. Don’t get me wrong, my family is well fed, it’s just that it’s not my calling in life. I should definitely keep my day job if-you-know-what-I-mean. Now baking… that’s my thing! I LOVE to bake!

When I saw this recipe I had ideas popping all through my mind! Thanks to my “Book Worm Daughter” and her ideas we made a real winner! It’s decadent and the best of cake plus cookie dough… and just enough chocolate to make the chocolate lover happy too! Make this and feel like you are living a DREAM!

This is a total “Cheat recipe” I used a box cake mix and prepared glaze and I’m not ashamed to admit it… just don’t tell anyone okay?

See all the fun mixing going on!

It turns into this glorious pretend chocolate chip cookie dough. No, this is not a dream… it tastes just like the real stuff!

Be careful! If there are little ones in your house be prepared to fight them off as they try to steal your “tools of the trade”. Or just do as I did and hand them over to them… it keeps them happy and busy so you can spread the love cookie dough filling. Then pour on the glaze! Voila! Dreamy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake! Enjoy!

  7. Kathleen Sease says:

I tried to make this I followed the recipe to the T and the cookie dough tastes nasty I don’t know what I did but it just doesn’t taste right. I was so excited that I had to bake it so now i have two cakes and nothing to put in it. :(

    • Sorry you don’t like it :-( everyone that’s made it has loved it. I’d recommend just adding frosting to your cake and eating it that way! Should taste great!
