This past year we have really been enjoying having fun on the water in boats. We’ve rented power boats and gone sailing and have plans to go jet skiing later this year. We’ve all decided it’s one of our favorite family activities!
This past Spring we went on a private whale watching boat ride and it was one of the best memories from our trip. The girls are all still talking about it. We had lunch on the boat while a huge school of dolphins swam and jumped around and then we enjoyed the peace and quiet out on the water.
We’ve even talked about getting our own boat so that we can go boating more often.

Have you ever been boating?
I was practically born on a boat. For as long as I can remember my Dad had them.
My husband really wants to buy a boat. Not so much me, but hopefully when we get some bills paid off we can do what will make him happy.
We used to have Our own boat but gave it up years ago. Maybe one day we will get another
We love to go boating during the summer. We get out on the river and have a blast.
We go boating every so often, and it’s always a good time. I love being able to just relax and watch the water.
We don’t have a boat, but we’ve been looking into getting one. We do love being out on the water.
We love boating, so much fun and perfect for all the family, thanks for the great post and beautiful photos! 🙂
I learned how to sail when I was in high school. It’s been many years since I’ve done THAT kind of boating, but I’ve been on other boats. It’s such a great time!
I remember being on my Uncles yacht in the 80’s. So many fun memories, and my parents were SO happy. No wonder you guys like it too. It’s fun 🙂
I’ve only been on boats for tours around the San Francisco bay. I’d love to go boating though, it does look like a lot of fun.
Who wouldn’t love boating? So peaceful and relaxing but also fun and exhilarating too.
The only boats I really like are cruise ships. I do love being out there on those “cities” on the water!
I love boating! The best summer activity in my opinion! I remember going on whale watching field trips as a child, absolutely amazing seeing how ginormous those mammals are!!
My family loves all water sports! When the kids were teens they loved to jet ski. I always seem to be able to relax more easily when I’m near water.
We are big boating fans too! It is such a freedom feeling
I would love to have a day out on the water. There’s no telling what we’ll see and I know my son would have a blast.
I have not been boating in years! When my in-laws got divorced, my father-in-law sold his boat and that was over 10 years ago! I miss it!
Boating sounds like such a great time. I have’t been in a very long time but it sounds like I need to make some plans to go boating again!
Yes, I’ve been boating and it’s so much fun. You should buy one. Discover Boating has tons of opinions too.
we don’t have much experience with boating. But I think it would be a lot of fun to give it a try!
I love renting boats but I don’t like owning them. It seems like they cost a ton of money constantly and we only get to use them once in a while. So we are now renters not owners:)
I have been on a boat a few times throughout my life but it was never something we did too often. My inlaws have a nice boat and I know my kids will enjoy a few trips out on the lake with their grandparents soon.
We tend to only boat when we are on holidays. Yet, a friend of mine has a boat now and we’ll be spending time with her at the lake this summer. Can’t wait!
When my dad had a boat we loved going to the beach and making waves. It was a ton of fun! Just wish he hadn’t sold it.
i have never been boating before but it sure looks relaxing. It is on my to do list for the summer.
Getting your own boat would surely be amazing, it would be tons of fun in the summer! I’d say go for it if you can afford it. 😀
We haven’t been on a boat since last year. I want to again so bad though. I am hoping later this summer we’ll be able to go boating again.
I love boating, too! It’s been too long but I have fond, fond memories. Fishing, crabbing, tanning…awesome!
I wish I lived near more water. I love boating too.
I haven’t been boating in forever! I need to go again, you brought back so many good memories!
I really want to do more boating, it’s such a fun thing to do. Maybe this summer will be my chance.
Yes, I went on a boat between different islands in the Bahamas and it was fantastic. Lots of partying and easy travel.
I have not been boating much but you sure make it sound fun…. might have to give it a try for a vacation adventure.
I don’t go boating now because I am not a swimmer. I have in the past though. Boating does sound like fun
There is nothing like being out on the water and the wind going threw your hair. I miss going out on the water. I will have to look into renting a boat.
I love boating. I have not been in a while.
I have never been boating before! It’s on my to do list though, seems fun!
Some of my best childhood memories were spent on a boat! My aunt had one and would always take us out fishing, skiing and tubing!
When I was younger, we used to be on the boat all the time. Now, not so much. I really need to get my daughter on the boat more often.
I love going boating. I go out fishing on my brother’s boat when I visit the East coast.
What a wonderful feeling, being on a boat out on the water. Such a feeling of freedom and peace at the same time.
For our last outing with all of our friends, we rented a boat & sailed around. It was such a blast! It isn’t often we all get babysitters and have full conversations. I can’t wait to go boating again soon.
This would be so fun to do as a family!! I wish we lived close enough to water to be able to go boating more often!
My husband has been wanting to get a boat! We, unfortunately, just have nowhere to put it!
I’ve only been boating as a part of an excursion on a cruise we took! We’re big cruising fans, so the bigger the boat, the better we like it!
I love boating! It’s always a refreshing activity that’s different from the usual stuff that people do. The sight of the ocean or any body of water is always invigorating and relaxing.
That looks so fun. We ugo boating every summer, too. Would love t own one, but we don’t have the budget for it.
It is funny because I am a native Floridian have never had a desire for a boat. I love the ocean but it makes me leary being out at sea, I know I am missing out on such beauty.
I grew up in a coastal are back in my origiaal country so yes, I did a lot of this growing up . Coming here in the US though and living in a mountainous region, it’s a hard thing to do.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area but we rarely make it out on the water. Having a boat is dream of ours, hopefully one day soon.
