I always carry a first aid kit with me no matter where I go. It helps us live more active, more fun lives. Today’s post is a partnership with The Motherhood/BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand.

We believe that playtime is one of the most important parts of life.
Our motto is work hard, play hard.
After school and everyday during the summer these two are out playing. Hula-hooping, playing catch with the ball, hiking, running… you name it… they are doing it! Playing is so much more than just being active though. It’s about creating life long skills. BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand understand that the ability to play, create and discover is crucial to development during all stages of life.

After three kids I’ve learned that keeping the kids safe has to be balanced with letting them explore. And that often means a few scratches and bumps here and there. BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand provide the tools to get out there and tackle new adventures — and to treat the inevitable mishaps that happen along the way.

Mishaps can happen anytime, anywhere, so it is important to always be prepared with a first aid kit with products that can treat your everyday cuts and scrapes and products tailored to your specific needs
First aid kits should contain:
-
- Essential products such as NEOSPORIN® + Pain Relief Ointment to help prevent infection and BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages to cover and protect wounds from dirt and germs.
- For more serious injuries, always keep items such BAND-AID® Brand of First Aid Products Cloth Tape and a first aid guide on hand.
- If you love to garden, you’ll want products that help treat itching from bug bites or rashes you may receive from certain plants, like BENADRYL® Extra Strength Spray, as well as tweezers for splinters. If you love to cook, you’ll need products like BAND-AID® WATER BLOCK PLUS® Clear Bandages and ones that can help treat minor burns, like NEOSPORIN® + Pain Relief Ointment.
At participating retailers, if you purchase three or more qualifying products – such as BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages, NEOSPORIN® Brand products, BAND-AID® Brand First Aid products and BENADRYL® Anti-Itch topical products – you will receive a free first aid bag.

When we are traveling I always carry a box of both BAND-AID® Brand bandages and NEOSPORIN® with me.
These little accidents always seem to happen when you are away from home too! I’ve even got the kids trained to carry mini first aid kids with them. They keep some in their backpacks and pockets! If you have a little one of your own at home you know that they also can double as a fashion statement and they have the ability to make little ones happy even without really needing one. Aka. my little one has been know to use a whole box to decorate her body!
I can’t tell you how many times we have ended up needed these and I was so thankful that we had some on hand. Just last week Pete and my middle daughter were doing box jumps and my middle daughter slipped. What could have made them stop, and have to go home for treatment, was handled right then and there with some BAND-AID® Brand bandages and NEOSPORIN® thus allowing them to keep having fun!

My girls are now being little dare devils so they are constantly getting hurt! I love this product.
How fun! Neosporin was used weekly in our house when my kids were growing up. They just spent so much time out in the yard they inevitably would get scratches.
Now they we’ve moved to Florida we plan to do A LOT more outdoor playing. I’m really excited to get out there and explore!
We love to get outside and play. Summertime in Georgia is gorgeous.
We love to play outside. I also love to take my daughter to see musicals and plays. We have a blast!
I’ve always carried a small plastic first aid kit in my glove compartment, I think it’s made by Johnsosn & Johnson. It’s a very good idea to have these handy, you just never know.
I carry a first aid kit and have one in my car too. It’s a must have.
We do a lot of bike riding in our neck of the woods! No Bandaids have been needed yet, but probably one day soon LOL
We have first aid kits in both cars. We always keep Neosporin and Band-Aids on hand.
I now take my little first aid kit with me everywhere. It never fails when I didnt, my kids would fall, scrape or get hurt to the point bandaids were needed… now? They don’t. Funny how that works.
Playtime is SO important, I try to make sure my kids get a lot of playtime!
Outdoor play can so easily result in ouchies. It looks like you are well prepared!
Neosporin is such a miracle medicine. It really is an essential part of a first aid kit.
Oh when you have kids you can’t have enough band-aids and neosporin. It seems they’re always falling, and getting bumps and bruises. Ouchies were almost an every day occurrence in my home when my kids were young.
We enjoy family play time at our local parks as well as around our neighborhood for adventure walks with our dog or some skateboarding. Those special Band-Aids for blisters in your photo are an absolute MUST for our house!
My kids went through a lot of Band Aids and Neosporin as they were growing up! Glad to hear that both companies are giving back in such a great way.
I always have a huge supply of Neosporin and Bandaids in my cupboard. With 2 active boys and a little girl who tries to keep up with the boys….well….I’m always using them!
funny you should mention bandaids my Bella bumped her head today and I almost thought we would need one for her hand but there was no blood. Sometimes bandaids even if there is no blood helps make owies better.
When my girls play, they play hard! Which is why we always have these supplies on hand – you just never know!
It was great when the kids knew where we kept the band-aids. They could bandage up and go right back out to play.
Waterproof Band-Aids are a must with kids. All necessary for speedy healing!
Neosporin and band-aids were always in my medicine cabinet when my kids were growing up. Now I keep them around for the grands.
We are big on playtime! We always have to keep bandaids around.
Yup… we love playtime. Even when the kids don’t have practice, we are all out there kicking around the soccer ball and having some fun. Which is why we always have neosporin on hand, as well. HA!
These are all a must in any mom’s first aid kit! You never know – kids will be kids!
Oh, yeap. My son is at that age where I have to start carrying a first aid kit. As long as we can avoid broken bones I can fix it, haha.
Yes! playtime is really important, my grand kids and I were had playtime every weekend and its so fun, this is great idea too.
I like your tips on what a first aid kit should include. It can be so easy to forget something.
I just sliced open my thumb today and used both Neosporin and Band Aids! Both great products!
Band-aid and Neosporin are musts when summer rolls around. It’s always good to be prepared!
I love Band-Aid brand products! My daughter will only use the Band-Aids that are bright and colorful, so she gets to pick them out when we are at the store.
I also carry a first aid kit wherever I go too. I even keep one in my classroom just in case an emergency happens with one of my students.
Hi Heather, Yep Band Aids and Neosporin are what I think of for hurts, and blisters – keeping them handy in my car, first aid kits, purse, home – it is a must! It’s fabulous that BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand are working with KaBOOM! reminding us all to play together as a family and also be prepared
I don’t have any children, but as a teacher, I’ve found that playtime is an important time for children. And yes, it’s imperative to have that first-aid kit prepared!
I think that outdoor activities are a must for young kids! They are still developing and they need to develop their imaginations as well!
Bandaids and Neosporin are an essential part of my household. Growing up as a kid I would fall the time and it’s the first thing my mom would tell me to get so I could go back and play.
Great post. Play time is important to us too. We normally spend lots of time outside, my daughter loves the garden.
Great products to always have on hand!
We always carry a set of first aid kit as well especially that I have a son who is always full of energy. I work with Kaboom before, they are a great company.
Our son plays soccer and I always carry a first aid kit with me during his games. I can’t wait for warmer temps so we could spend more time outside and play.
I have an empty pill bottle that I use to keep Neosporin tubes that I have made with straws and some Band Aids in. Small, portable and always at hand.
I keep a little first aid kit in my purse. Band-aids, Neosporin, wipes and aspirin are always in there!
I love your motto. It is a good one. We do play a lot too. It is important
My almost 3 year old daughter is so accident prone (just like her parents) that these essentials are definitely a must have! I even carry a first aid kit in the car.
I have a few first aid kits. I keep one in the car and one in each bathroom. You never know when you will need something. It is always good to be prepared.
My family plays hard as well! Love the new Band-Aid designs!
Love these, I have to keep all of these products stopped up because the boychld is always having boo boos. They have always worked for me so I couldn’t see buying anything else.
Always good to have these. Important to be prepared.
My kids love to be outdooors, so normally we play in the yard.
But this just happened… We live across the street from a school and one of the administrators walked. He told me anytime my kids want to play on the field, they are welcome. That way they won’t have to play in the street. Huh? My kids have never played in the street! Regardless, I’ll take him up on it because they’ve got a good soccer set-up!
Thanks for the reminder. I need to restock and remake our first aid kits. We have used some items and some have gone bad. Band-Aids are always a staple.
With 5 kiddos running around we always have a kit in each vehicle and on us if we are hiking, ect. So important to have first aid. Great post!
My family tends to play very hard. We are always outside at the park or in the yard.
My husband and I are the only ones living here, and we are grandparents now. I keep Neosporin and BandAids on hand for him, because he is such a clutz. He is always banging into something or scraping something. Neosporin is good for all ages.
