Roadside assistance is important to have and I’m happy to be talking about it today via this sponsored post.
This past week my daughter and I set off to spend some time together.
I feel like it’s so important to get some one-on-one time with each of the girls. We run some errands, get something to eat and just talk. It’s amazing how everyday life can be special when you have someone special to spend time with. Even though we were taking care of things that we normally do each week it was really fun! We talked and laughed and made some big life goals. After we finished almost everything on our to do list we decided to buy some groceries last.
That’s when the trouble started.
We loaded all of the bags into the car and when I went to start the car I heard a click, click, click instead of the normal roar of my engine starting. I was totally confused. I checked to make sure that all the doors were closed and that nothing was on and I tried it again. Same clicking sound. I was so upset. I tried calling my husband but he was in a meeting with his phone on silent.
I was totally unprepared for this to happen.
I bought my car new in 2012 and I’ve had no problems with it at all so this was not something that I ever thought I’d have to deal with. I was wishing that I had roadside assistance, but I didn’t. After waiting 2 hours and paying $69 we were finally back on our way home and I had a goal to sign up for roadside assistance the next day. I wasn’t going to let that happen ever again.
Last time I had my oil changed at Walmart I remember seeing AutoVantage Roadside Assistance on the counter.
The next day I went to Walmart and found it in the same place. It was by the automotive area cashier. Have you ever needed roadside assistance?
I’ve been compensated for this post with sample product and payment. All opinions and experiences are my own.
Good to know but I’ve had AAA emergency roadside assistance forever and would find it hard to leave them!
We get my Granddaughters AAA every year. I guess I nee to check out this AutoVantage and see if we shouldn’t switch.
Oh wow! AAA sounds fantastic, I think we have something similar here too. Having that assistance available is very important!
It is SO important to have a roadside assistance service. We got stranded once, and it took TWO HOURS for a tow truck to get out to us. It was HORRIBLE.
I’m so glad it worked out for you guys, but that must have been a really horrible experience. Things like that can scare kids.
Yes, I have needed roadside assistance before! The kids and I took a trip to Florida and a tire blew just as we passed the Florida line. No fun at all!
We have a roadside assistance service just in case. I would hate to be stranded. Yikes!
My sister can’t talk high enough about AAA. She has used it so many times over the years and it has saved them on quite a number of occasions. And not by any fault of their own. But random car breakdowns or thinks like that. She said they are always fast and amazing service.
Thank you so much for sharing. They offer so much for such a small price. I’ll grab the info the next time I go to Walmart. It would be great to have before we travel for the holidays.
OMG, getting stranded is my worst fear. What if it was the dead of winter and there was no one to call? *shudder*
I’m so scared something like this will happen to me. Luckily, we have road side assistance with our car insurance policy.
That seems like a good plan to have. I had AAA years ago and they let me down, never showed up in the middle of nowhere, it was awful. No one ever believes me when I say that though, so it must be a good company for most. I’m sure they’ve changed since then, it was ten years ago. I use the roadside assistance through my auto insurance, it’s pretty good I guess.
Yes, I’ve need road side assistance.. I’ve used my husband. Without my husband I can see where this would be very useful.
We have roadside assistance, and I need it about every two years to get pulled out of snow banks! It is an investment worth making.
I haven’t had to use roadside assistance in years, but it’s one of those things you want to have just in case. It can save your day and a lot of money!
Walmart has everything! LOL. That’s a good price for roadside assistance.
My husband’s car has needed roadside assistance more than my own. That’s a really great price for this service!
i hate dealing with car problems. so i think it’s just reasonable to have one.
Smart. You have to have roadside assistance.
That is a fantastic price. Not bad at all to have peace of mind.
Sadly I am a born and raised New York City girl, with our mass transit and horrible parking in the city I never learned to drive, but if I ever do I will definitely spring for the roadside assistance that’s for sure!
What a great gift for newbie drivers. I love the extra piece of mind.
Thankfully, I have never had to use roadside assistance, but it’s great to know there is affordable options if I need it! I’ll have to check my Walmart to see if we have it there too!
It is good to have that kind of assistance because you just never know when something will happen.
Traveling with roadside assistance would bring so much peace of mind! Plus, it’s super affordable!
I had CAA here for many years but I would love to have an option other than that. Competition is good. I will check Walmart next time I am there.
That is very affordable! I do not have roadside assistance but there have been a few times I could have used it. I need to look into this more.
I’ve never heard of roadside assistance probably because it’s not even outwardly marketed or available in our local market. It’s great that it covers a lot of benefits. The service center network savings are added pluses only.
Yes, I have indeed needed roadside assistance! AAA to the rescue! LOL
The vehicle that we just purchased yesterday comes with free roadside assistance although our auto insurance offers the service as well. I feel much more at ease knowing we have it to rely on now!
Roadside assistance is so important. We ran out of gas last year at 5 am. It was scary and I was so glad that I was able to call my roadside assistance company.
This sounds like the perfect program. I never seem to think about stuff like this until I am in a sticky situation and my husband is not with me!
Thanks for this review! I have AAA and they have saved me several times. I think everyone should have roadside assistance!
We have AAA. We’ve had to use it a couple times since my husband and I started dating. It’s his parents present to us for our birthday every year! 😀
If only we have those here in our country – it would be a safer place to be.
This looks like great coverage, I don’t drive currently but it looks great.
If you asked me today I am unprepared to. Your post opened my eyes@
I haven’t been in a situation like this before alone. Once my hubby and I had a puncture at midnight, it was horrible but Thank God for run flats. We made it to our destination safely.
I used roadside assistance once when I was in college. I ran out of gas just two miles from the gas station!! Luckily, my vehicle then had come with a couple years of roadside assistance so I was able to get help right away. My current vehicle doesn’t have it, and I think it’s something my husband and I need to discuss soon!!
Sounds like a good service. I have nothing like this for my car but then again I never travel too far so my family are always able to help out if I get stuck on the road.
What a great price for road side assistance, I always make sure home call outs are included as the only time I have ever had to call out was from home!
Definitely sounds like a must. My van is a few years old, this would be great to have just in case.
I love the peace of mind that having this gives you. I’ve only had to use it once last year but it was worth every penny!
Autovantage sounds amazing, you never know when something is going to go wrong with your car!
Better safe than sorry, you never know when the car will break down!
This is a perfect plan. We travel a lot and we need road assistance. I love that they offer Up to 150 miles per occurrence
I get my roadside assist from AAA, thank goodness. Thankfully, I haven’t had to use it yet!
I def. have needed roadside assistance. Last year I spun out on black ice and ended up w/my SUV on its side. Miraculously no damage to me or the vehicle (thank you snow!), but I had to be pulled upright and out of the ditch. I drove home, I’m still thankful for the way that turned out. Roadside assistance is just a must!
Roadside assistance is so important. Now that I have 2 daughters that drive, I get really concerned for their safety on the road.
I have needed road side assistance a few times. It is a great gift to give.
