Thank you so much to Disney for inviting us to Disneyland Resort’s Holiday Media Event!
Holiday time is a great time to visit The Disneyland Resorts! We were so lucky to spend a night at the Grand Californian to kick of the holiday season and I have so many special moments that only happen during the holidays to share with you!
Here are 5 Reasons To Visit The Disneyland Resort During The Holidays!
Now through January 6, 2015, the entire Disneyland Resort transforms into a magnificent winter wonderland.
This includes the hotels too and there is still time to add a quick min-vacation before the holiday season ends! There are so many reason to visit this time of year… but here are some of our favorites!
1. This is technically an all the time thing… but the rooms are so comfy and cozy while still feeling luxurious. When we need to refuel and relax we love to stay for a day or two. During the holidays the resort is even more special and the lobby is decorated so beautifully. The tree alone is worth visiting! Here is a full review of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
2. Speaking of the tree… this is the most beautiful tree to take family pictures in from of! We take a family photo for our Christmas cards and then an individual one of each of our daughters for their yearly memory books! There is a little bar around the corner from the tree to get warm drinks from too. We like to get one in the evening and sit by the fireplace and enjoy the tree and all the sparkling lights!
3. The “Grand” New Gingerbread House.
You all much come see this. We visited when it was almost complete and I could have stared at it for hours. The Little One was amazed by how big it was and could not believe it was made of cookies and frosting ingredients! It made the holidays “come to life” for her! It is a really special thing to see!
4. Sollen Bread
Located right next to the gingerbread house in Disney’s Grand Californian you can purchase a truly beautiful keepsake box with Stollen Bread in it. It would make an amazing gift!
5. The outside ice skating rink and gift shops in Disney’s Winter Village!
Come and shop and enjoy some treats in the shops and then head over for some ice skating with Olaf! Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink is the coolest place to be right now! You can really get in the holiday spirit as you skate to holiday music centered around a huge Christmas tree! When we were there they were blasting FROZEN music and it was awesome! Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink is open now through February 22, 2014 Read more here.
That looks absolutely amazing! I’ve only been a few times, only once when I was old enough to appreciate it! I would love to go back down during the holiday season. Your pictures are absolutely beautiful and really capture the feel of Disney quite well!
We love visiting Disneyland during the holiday season. They really deck it out, and there are so many interesting things to see and do.
We visited both Disneyland and California Adventures last Thursday. While we didn’t have time for any of what you listed above, just seeing the parks decorated for the holidays was worth the extra planning at this time of year. (Taking 10 people to a theme park during the holiday season is NOT easy!) It’s A Small World totally floored the kids. And me. It’s my very most favoritest part of Disneyland. Seeing it all lit up with Christmas lights and hearing my favorite song meshed with Jingle Bells was AMAZING.
We were just there in October and we were wondering what they were building down by the Earl of Sandwiches, and now I know it was a skating rink. How fun!
Its really amazing! We love to visit Disney land with family during holiday season. The gingerbread house looks so different. Really a great place to have fun for this holiday season.
OMG that gingerbread house! Great post 🙂
This is absolutely beautiful. Decorations like this astonish me!
What a gorgeous tree. THey don’t skimp when it comes to decorating for the holidays.
I have never been to Disneyland before, but Disney World is incredible at Christmas time, so I imagine that Disneyland is as well.
We loved our stay at the Grand Californian! That Grand Gingerbread House is spectacular!!
I’ve never been to Disneyland during the holidays. It’s looks absolutely magical. Some day I plan to bring the kids there!
What a special treat to see this gingerbread fun there. I’m glad you showed us a peek!
