Ready for another installment of family fun in Las Vegas? Today I’m sharing about a fun dinner show for families in Las Vegas. Thank you so much to the Tournament Of Kings for hosting us on a day of family fun.
Tournament of Kings is a live action family friendly show that the whole family will enjoy.
From real horses and jousting to dancing maidens it’s a fun way to have a nice dinner and be entertained as only Vegas can do. There are moments of humor that are funny for the adults but still appropriate for kids. Plus competing kings engage in sword fights and audience gets in on the fun as you cheer for your own king! When you arrive you are shown to your kingdom and given a king to root for the entire time! There are even fireworks!
The Tournament of Kings is located in the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The whole hotel has a medieval theme. The girls love going there because it looks like a castle from the outside. The show itself is at the bottom of the hotel and you get to walk through the games area to enter. There are traditional fair games and video games just outside the doors so get there early.
Let’s talk about the food.
Since we all are vegetarians {with a vegan in our group too} I wasn’t sure what if anything we would be able to eat. Surprisingly that was not a problem at all. If you do have a dietary need be sure to get there early and let them know right away. It will take a little bit longer to get your food so any extra time you can give them the better. The vegan was served a steamed vegetable platter and us vegetarians had pasta.
The food is served in an authentic manner and the entire meal is eaten without utensils {vegetarian meal was given a fork}.
The regular meal is a really tasty creamy tomato soup, a whole roasted game hen, a large side of broccoli, a biscuit, and a red potato or two followed by a warm apple strudel. Pepsi, sierra mist and water are complimentary along with coffee, served with dessert. Everything else is an additional fee and there is a full bar available.
There are two shows daily {except Tuesday when it’s dark} at 6pm and 8:30pm show which makes it perfect for families with younger children.
The Little One still likes to go to sleep earlier so the 6pm show was perfect for us! Although there is tons of action it wasn’t scary at all… quite the opposite, it was very merry and my 4 year old liked it just as much as my 14 and 12 year olds did.
Tickets are $65.60 a person but I’ve seen deals out there for less.
By Vegas standards this is a very good deal even at full price when you take into consideration that you are getting a dinner and a show. Learn more and buy tickets here.
That sounds like a blast. My kids would love that.
This looks like a ton of fun. I’d love to go to Vegas one day – there’s just so many things to do and see!
Very cool! This is similar to something we have near us in Orlando called Medieval Times! Always a fantastic experience!
What a fun experience for you and the family. The food sounds wonderful too. 🙂 It’s great that they could accommodate your dietary needs.
I’ve been to similar shows and they really are a lot of fun. I’ll have to remember this for one of my Vegas trips!
I’d love to go to vegas. I’ve never been. This show looks amazing and you get dinner too? Awesome!
I went to something exactly the same last year in Toronto, it’s called Medieval Times there – I still rave about the “dragons blood” (tomato bisque soup) we had. It was sooo much fun.
This looks like a lot of fun. I’ll have to check it out next time I go to vegas 😉
I LOVE Vegas but I never really thought about bringing kids there. My son would love this show!
This looks like so much fun! I like that it is good for kids (and adults) of all ages!
I’ve always wanted to go to one of these shows they are so cool! Awesome pictures! Looks like everyone had a ton of fun
Love Vegas!!!! And I’ve been to similar shows. Will have to keep in mind next time im in Vegas 🙂
I would have loved to be there. Sounds like a great event and looking at the photos I would have had a great time.
Sounds like fun. Kids should be exposed to this kind of live shows too.
My family was just in Vegas, I wish I would have known about this! Talk about awesome entertainment and food!
nothing like a live show that includes dinner. what a fun time! glad you got to go for the experience.
I’ve never been to Vegas. Am I the only one? Great to hear that they have some family friendly things.
We would love going here. Still trying to get to a similar place closer. Fun fun family outing.
I’ve never been to Vegas but there seems to be some really cool shows and winning money would be great too. hehee!
That looks like a blast. I don’t know if you can top a Vegas take on knights and wizards.
How cool is that?! It’s the Vegas version of Medieval times. That’s awesome!
I have never been to anything like this – but they always sound so amazing, hopefully one day I will make it 🙂 x
My kids always loved anything with a Medieval theme. This would have been so fun for them.
This does look similar to Medeival Times but it’s in Vegas so I am SURE that it is so much more amazing.
See, I look at Vegas as an adult playground. I wouldn’t bring my young children around that atmosphere. That’s what Disney is for.
How great. This looks like such fun. My girls would also love the castle theme going on.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about this show – bookmarked to go next time we visit Vegas!
Can someone please bring me to veags!!!! Im so jelly with this
My son went to a Medevil Times when he was younger on a field trip with school. They all had a amazing day and loved the show and the food.
I love the theme! I want to visit the hotel and casino in Las Vegas someday. That said, I have to earn lots of money for that travel budget. For the tickets of the show, where can good deals be found?
This looks like a fun place to take the family. I am all for reanactment and fun entertainment.
Oh my goodness, what a fabulous place to take the family. I totally have to keep this in mind. Thanks so much for sharing.
I have never thought of Las Vegas as a family place, honestly never knew they had anything that was child friendly. This looks like a fun show and your little one seems to be enoying it.
We did that when my kids were little, and we all had so much fun!
I have been to Las Vegas multiple times, but have never experienced this show. What a great adventure, it seems. I would love to go the next time I visit Sin City!
That looks like Medieval Times. I’ve heard it is a blast. Family affordable too. Thanks!
I’ve never been to Vegas, but this looks like a must see show! I would love to try the food(with my hands). My kids would definitely have fun with that!
My kids would love this show! We will have to look into going next time we are in Vegas!

Something for the family in Vegas? Cool, the kids would love this!
These are so much fun and it reminds me of the time I went to Medeval Times when I was like 11.
Can’t wait for my Vegas trip. Might look into this.
They use real horses! thats awesome, looks like a real fun day with the family. Ticket prices are not too bad either
Oh gosh and that seems so much fun – I wished we could have gone there too!
This is awesome! My boys would flip out over this! Vegas is far from me, wonder if they have one local.
