Thank you so much to Disney for inviting us to Disneyland Resort’s Mickey’s Halloween Party Media Event! It was a pleasure being able to share all the fun with my readers!
Friday night was the first Mickey’s Halloween Party at The Disneyland Resort for 2014.
It’s an annual tradition for us to go at least once a year and we look forward to it for months before hand. This year it was extra special because The Little One decided to be a Pirate for Halloween this year and she even got a transformation into an Empress Pirate thanks to Disney Magic!
The Pirates League is located ashore (and out of the scary waters) taking over part of Festival Arena in Frontierland.
Landlubbers will be transformed into the most swashbuckling of pirates. They receive a sea-worthy name upon check in and they will train with some of the League’s most veteran Pirate Masters. After their makeover they take the official Pirates League Oath and learn the ways of the scurvy sea dogs as they apply yer buccaneer beard, scars, earrings and eye patches.
Pirates get to choose their own experience from the following options:
Jake and the Never Land Pirates
Includes Jake and the Never Land Pirates bandana with faux hair, Jake facial effect, sword and sheath, The Pirates League bag and a unique pirate coin necklace.
The First Mate
Includes choice of facial effect (Options: Black Beard, Black Eyed Jack, Captain Hook and Ghosted Pirate), Reversible bandana, earring and eye patch, sword and sheath, The Pirates League bag, temporary tattoo, unique pirate coin necklace, personalized pirate oath and an official pirate name.
Empress
Includes reversible bandana, earring and eye patch, sword and sheath, The Pirates League bag, temporary tattoo, unique pirate coin necklace, personalized pirate oath, official pirate name. The Empress package also includes vibrant makeup, nail polish, lip gloss and face gem!
Packages at the Pirates League range from $29.95 to $34.95 plus tax
Every pirate empress needs a fresh coat of nail polish to start their transformation right?
The Pirates League offers more if an experience than just a makeover.
Little One and her big sisters ALL had fun! Every step of the way the girls were laughing and having a great time. I feel a new tradition coming on. Even the twelve year old was thinking of getting The Pirate League treatment next time!
Don’t mess with this pirate! She might look cute and sweet, but she just took the pirate oath.
She was ready for a pirate adventure… or at least discovering a ton of candy at Mickey’s Halloween Party. One of the best parts about Mickey’s Party is that it’s not so scary and everyone is in costume… plus lot’s of candy! It’s a fun and safe trick or treat option!
This was such a special experience that made our trip to Disneyland even more special.
I would totally recommend making a reservation if you will be coming to Mickey’s Party with your child this year. Just the look on my daughters face made me beyond thrilled with the experience. She felt like a powerful pirate the rest of the day and told me that this was the best day of her life! <— That melted my heart!
Reservations can be made by calling 714-781-STYLE or 714-781-7895 and more information is available on the Disneyland Blog. Because this is inside The Disneyland Resort you will also need a ticket to Mickey’s Halloween Party.
That is so cool. We have done the Pirates League and the Halloween party, but never at the same time.
My son would have loved this when he was little. If i get the chance to take my grandchildren i will definitely check it out.
This looks like so much fun! My family loves pirates!
What a fun event. We use to go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party ever year in Orlando when my son was little.
My kids have always wanted to go to that. It’s near their great-aunt’s house, and we used to visit her around Halloween when they were little. We never made it to Disney though!
This looks like so much fun I’d be right there getting my pirate makeover too! This is actually one theme park I have never been to for Halloween!
The pirate league is awesome. Here in Fl at Disney World it happens everyday year around it’s so fun.
Looks super fun! Would have loved this when I was a kid!

We considered having my son do the Pirate League when we were in Disney World but he wanted to go on the rides instead of waiting to get his face done. Maybe if he sees kids all done up.
That looks like such a fun experience for the kids! My kids would have loved the pirate treatment when they were younger.
One day we will go to DW for Halloween. They make it look so much fun! The pirates turned out adorable.
She’s the cutest little pirate I ever did see. What a fun thing for Disneyland to do each year.

I have always wanted to take my kids to this event. Unfortunately my youngest was too afraid of Disney before we moved. There were too many crowds and it terrified him. Hopefully we will make it back there one day before he is too big.
What a fun party. I love the photos of the little pirates.
This looks like so much fun! I always wanted to be a pirate 🙂 I actually did an online fitness class with a pirate theme for Talk Like a Pirate Day. My costume wasn’t as good as these though!!! Thanks for sharing 🙂
