Back in the heat of the summer we ventured out to Sea World, San Diego. We absolutely love it there. It’s one of the places that I always recommend to out of town {and locals} guests. On this particular day it was hot. Like 100 degrees out HOT! I’m a total wimp in the heat. I melt! Thankfully Sea World has lots of spots to cool off in! And since we are talking about this fun day in the cool of winter I’d also like to note that Sea World is perfect for a day trip in December too!

I love that you can get up close and personal with a bunch of animals… not just sea creatures!

There are rides too! The girls all loves this one where we could see for miles and miles!

One of our favorite parts of the day were the shows. This one features cats and dogs {and pigs} that were rescued from animal shelters!

I wanted to hug this wall. Truth is I did hug this wall. A huge brick of ice was exactly what I needed to cool off! The Toddler asked us if we could buy one for at home. I’d love to make all her dreams come true, but I have to draw the line at an indoor ice wall.

I loved this underwater look at some sea creatures almost as much as my middle one did. So relaxing and fascinating to see them swimming around. You almost felt like you were swimming with them!

The Toddler loved it too!

You guys know I love food and that this trip would not be complete without a little food stop, right? We were on the search for some good food for a group of vegetarians and 1 meat eater. We found it at Mama Stella’s.

There were lots of choices for all of us. The rolled lasagna looked really good… but it was a no-go due to the meat. I contemplated the eggplant parmigiana since it’s pretty awesome for a theme park to have such a great meal… but I settled on some pasta!

It was really good! The tomato and mozzarella salad was fresh and tasty too!

The girls all loved running around this HUGE play structure!

And cooling off in the water area!

This was definitely The Toddlers favorite part. She loved being able to touch the sea stars. She might have told multiple people to “please not pick the starfish up… they can get sick”. She still talks about this months later. It was a great sensory activity for her too and opened her eyes up to a whole new world… the ocean! She was just about 2 1/2 here.

Thank you to Sea World for providing us tickets to enjoy the park!
