Yesterday marked the start of our travel season! We lay low around Southern California during the summer, and then as soon as school starts again, we get our travel on! Yesterday afternoon we drove up to Morro Bay!
For the start of our road trip, we are spending two days exploring Morro Bay with a hosted visit by Discover Morro Bay We have been looking forward to this visit for months now. We have driven through Morro Bay so many times in the past, and we keep saying that we should spend some time here, and we are thrilled it is finally happening. We’ve only been here for less than a day, and it is already proven to be very family-friendly. I will have a full post with everything to do in Morro Bay as a family with kids of all ages, but I just had to share these pictures from yesterday! It is so beautiful, relaxing, and there are so many adventures to be had in Morro Bay!
Here are the picture highlights from our first day in Morro Bay:
This is the view off our private patio at the hotel we are staying at, The Inn At Morro Bay. We are staying in the cottage that is right on the bay with an amazing view of Morro Rock!
Here is a look inside the cottage and the welcome gifts for us.
I am in love with this patio!
There are a lot of hiking trails, and we took a 3-mile trail straight from the hotel up to the top of Black Hill.
The view from the top!
Dinner at Bayside Cafe… this restaurant felt like it was straight out of a novel. It is very quaint and a favorite among locals.
Sunset over Morro Bay!
We have a day of fun ahead of us with breakfast, paddleboarding, lunch at a vegan restaurant, exploring around town, a surrey ride, and dinner with a bay view! Pete and Ashley are at Crossfit this morning, and as soon as they are back, we are on our way!
That looks like such a beautiful place to visit! I need to talk my husband into this ASAP!!
How lovely is the view there! It’s so relaxing and it’s a great place to have some quiet time with the kids. I really love your rooms, it’s so comfy!
Our family is long overdue for a vacation. Morro Bay would be a perfect get away spot.
Looks like an amazing place to visit. I love finding places like the restaurant you showcased while on vacation. I really want to discover more places to hike and the views from the top are amazing!
