Our final hotel on our Oahu adventure was in Diamond Head.
We had heard amazing things about this boutique hotel and we were so excited to spend a couple days here. It is on the far end of Waikiki at the base of Diamond Head, clustered among other hotels. As we were making our way to it, we drove right past it on the first try. The front is what I would call understated elegance. From the street, it looks like a typical hotel. There is a small sign on the front and you are directed to pull into the driveway.
That is where anything typical stops. This hotel is pure magic!

The more we stay at boutique hotels, the more we realize just how special they are.
We were greeted by the valet, who really is more of an ambassador to the hotel and area. He helped us out of our car and directed us to the lobby to check in, which took maybe 3 minutes, and then we were on our way to our suite.

The lobby features fresh citrus water during the day, and for an hour or so a night, there is wine available to sip and enjoy. You can also borrow beach chairs, towels, and bikes to use during your stay. It was more like staying at a friends house than a hotel because the level of guest care was out of this world amazing!

We were guided up to our Penthouse Panoramic Ocean View suite on the top floor of the hotel and welcomed with this beautiful view.
The suite takes up the entire top floor and has a wrap around balcony that has nearly 360-degree views from every angle.

Inside was a Hawaiian escape like no other…
The master bedroom was light, bright, and my favorite place in the whole suite. The view was straight to Diamond Head. I had no idea that this view was even possible, but the position of the hotel made it possible.

Attached to the master bedroom were a luxurious bathroom, sitting area, and study. There was also a walk-in closet, and two desks to work at, each with their own unique views.

The girls’ room was equally wonderful…

The decor is best described as Hawaiian. I loved that it brought the outdoors inside and was luxurious while still being uber-comfortable.

Emmy and Ashley spent most of their time in the room on this couch watching movies (there is a complimentary movie kiosk in the business center). We also had dinner one night at the dining room table.
Maddie and I loved the Nespresso maker in the full kitchen and having a refrigerator made snacking so easy.

Most days Pete and I worked outside on the tables on the balcony. The breeze was relaxing and I can’t imagine a better place to get some work done.

One of the days we were staying at Diamond Head, we spent some time at the beach. The walk from the front of the hotel to the beach was less than 2 minutes. It’s maybe 100 feet and they have a little walkway to it. The beach here was quieter with just a few other people enjoying it. We went right before sunset and the colors of the sky were breathtaking!

Here is a video of this beautiful suite:
We would highly recommend staying here. We loved every moment of it and we hope to return real soon!
