Thank you so much to LEGOLAND for inviting us to experience all the holiday fun.
Are you looking for a great place to take your kids this holiday season where they can even play in the snow? Legoland is the place to be!
Here are some highlights of holiday time at Legoland California:
- Fireworks every night December 26th through Dec 30th at 7pm
- Miniland USA is decorated for the season with LEGO holiday scenes including Santa arriving on top of the White House in Washington D.C
- SEA LIFE Aquarium is also decked out for the holidays with a LEGO Christmas tree, holiday themed Daily Dive Show and a “green” craft!
One of our favorite parts of LEGOLAND this time of year is the SNOW!!! 50 Tons of the cold white stuff is just waiting for you to come on over and help build a snow man or throw a snow ball! There is also snow-tubing down a 7 foot tall snow covered tube runs!
The snow area is huge and there is a lot of snow to play with. We don’t ever get to see the real stuff so this was a huge hit! Bonus points that we didn’t have to get all bundled up to enjoy it!
And then there is the food! Did I mention the food yet? Delicious! LEGOLAND is known for their tasty amusement park food and that they have organic and dietary restriction alternatives.
Just in time for the holidays, LEGOLAND has special holiday treats including Bavarian Bratwurst, buttery mash potatoes {these were some of the best I’ve ever had}, sweet potato fries, churros with a dark chocolate dipping sauce, warm spiced apple cider and holiday cookies!
My husband had the Bratwurst and he said it was really good. Like good enough that he wants to go back for more, good! They were also served with sauerkraut and pretzels!
The decorations are awesome and really get you in the holiday spirit!
All of your favorites are still here too! Lot’s of huge LEGO’s to play with, admire and if you are like us… to take pictures of!
Have you seen the LEGOLAND Hotel? It’s perfect for a quick staycation or a weekend of fun! The hotel is geared to kids and those young at heart. We stayed there during its grand opening and the kids are still talking about it. You can read more about our hotel experience here.
LEGOLAND also throws one serious New Years Eve Party!
Called Kids’ New Year’s Eve, this is the biggest annual family-friendly party allowing kids to ring in 2014 without missing their bedtime! There is are special musical performances from a surprise celebrity guest leading the countdown and a huge LEGO brick dropping 22 feet into the air and a spectacular fireworks display at 6 pm!
