We are in the middle of a complete updating of our home, from the flooring, to the paint, to the furniture and everything in between. One of the updates I was most excited for was getting a new mattress. While our new bedroom furniture is on order still, I was very happy when our new mattress arrived and I couldn’t wait to sleep on our new Leesa Mattress. This is a sponsored post partnership with Leesa. All opinions and photographs are my own.

Like most people I was excited to get a new mattress, but not excited to have to go out and buy the new mattress.

Mattress shopping isn’t known for being fun, even if it is exciting to get a new mattress! There are so many choices and what I’ve learned in the past is that no matter how great a mattress feels in the showroom, you can’t really tell how you will really feel about it till you have slept on it. With that in mind I really embraced the idea of shopping online and having my mattress shipped right to my door. Especially knowing that Leesa offers a 100 night risk-free trial.

Leesa Mattress is revolutionizing the way we shop for mattresses.

Their innovative online purchase system makes it very easy to purchase a luxury mattress in the comfort of your own home. I ordered my mattress in less than 5 minutes and it was delivered to my door days later.

I had felt a foam mattress before and thought it was really comfortable and plush, but when the Leesa arrived I was apprehensive that the box we received had our King sized mattress in it. It was heavy enough that I had trouble moving it myself so I waited for Pete to help me with it… but the box looked too small to have a large mattress in it.

Once we took it out of the box I could see that it was folded over and rolled up really tightly for shipping.

From there Pete rolled it out and removed the wrapper and it quickly took shape. You can see it all below in the unboxing video we made. Although it rose up within a minute or two, it continued to rise and after an hour it was completely done and ready to sleep on. Thankfully we did this in the morning and I let it air out for the rest of the day. Pete said he couldn’t smell anything but I could smell a mild plastic smell right after we opened it up. By the time the evening came it was gone.

I like having a firm mattress and the first night it was very firm.

As the days went on it softened up. To make it softer I let my little one jump on it a bit That seemed to help it get softer on the top but still retain the firmness that I like. Pete liked it from the start and can’t feel the difference. Now that I’ve slept on it for over a month I’m totally in love with it.
