This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Vitamin Angels. All opinions are 100% mine.
Vitamins are often taken for granted when there is a lot of fresh food to eat.
I learned the hard way that vitamins and minerals are an extremely important part of our well being. It’s been over 2 years since I was diagnosed with my own deficiency. Had I not been diagnosed and received supplemental treatment I wouldn’t be here today.
Vitamins are that important.
Thankfully I was able to get the vitamins I needed but many don’t have access to vitamins and minerals… especially those most at-risk, including pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five who really need lifesaving vitamins and minerals. An estimated 190 million children under the age of five suffer from vitamin A deficiency, which can lead to weakened immune systems, childhood blindness, and even death.
We don’t have to let this happen. There is a way to help!
This holiday season consider donating to Vitamin Angels. Even the smallest gift can change a child’s life. Your 25 cents will bring lifesaving vitamin A to a child in need.
25 cents reduces mortality in at-risk children by up to 24% by providing one dose of vitamin A, twice a year. Vitamin A supplements are the least expensive solution to addressing preventable child deaths. Vitamin A Saves Lives.
Another idea is to donate in lieu of giving a gift! You can donate to Vitamin Angels in honor of an individual. This provides a gift that lasts beyond the holidays and creates a legacy of giving. Individuals make a donation and receive a downloadable or shareable card that shows their donation to Vitamin Angels.
I think this is one of the best gifts you can give. Get involved. Donate now.
Vitamin Angels helps at-risk populations in need—specifically pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five—gain access to lifesaving and life changing vitamins and minerals. In 2014, Vitamin Angels has been working to reach 40 million children in approximately 45 countries, including the US, with the vital nutrients they need as a foundation for good health. Vitamin Angels has received seven consecutive four-star ratings from Charity Navigator for Financial Health, Accountability and Transparency.
This is so neat. I didn’t know there was a program out there to help with this.
Wow, what an amazing cause this is. I hadn’t heard of it before, so thanks for the heads up on their good work.
What a great way to help those in need get the vitamins and minerals they need. At one point in my life, my body wasn’t able to process the vitamins and minerals I was giving it. I because a very sick person. So, I know how important it is to make sure everyone gets their vitamins.
This is a great cause and something we should all do to help out more! Thanks so for sharing!
Thanks so much for sharing this. I would donate in honor of some family members that have passed away. Each of them would want to donate to this cause if they were able to.
I really like this cause! The video was really informative. I can’t believe so many children are living off of starches with very little nutrients.
This would be an amazing gift to give to someone who has everything and wants nothing. Some people don’t want to receive gifts but giving them this gift of giving to others would be appreciated!
I order from Rainbow Light vitamins and they donate to Vitamin Angels. I think its a great cause.
My mom is the hardest person to buy for. She says she doesn’t want any gifts. I think doing this in her honor would be a great thing though!
Vitamins are needed for those who do not get proper nutrition. Glad to see there are organizations out there to help.
I wasn’t aware of this action.
Thank you for sharing.
It is a great cause.
What a fabulous cause. Haven’t heard of this but it sure makes sense. Thanks for the info.
Vitamins and minerals are so important to growth and development! So glad there’s a program like this delivering vitamins and minerals to those in need!
I think it is wonderful to think about a cause such as this at this time of year! Awesome!
Vitamins are so important on a little one’s life. I’m so glad more people are doing what they can to help get the message out.
Vitamins are super important and I know lots of people forget this! I would donate on behalf of my grandma 🙂
Vitamins are something most of us take for granted. I recently began taking vitamins because I know I don’t get all the nutrition I need. This is a wonderful cause and even one life saved is a miracle. Thank you for sharing this charity.
Great cause! Vitamins are SO important!
I like this idea that they are providing them with vitamins and minerals. Those can be absent in high enough quanitities in the dry food sent there.
Wow, thanks for sharing/bringing awareness about this org. never heard of this and this is so sweet. The pictures are adorable and so many people in need is very sad especially when we waste so much
Love this initiative, vitamins are so important – no kid should go without!
This is a wonderful cause. I do my best not only during the holidays but throughout the year to help those in needs. It;s simple and rewarding to know that a helping hand can go and do so much.
What a great cause! This is really great for those who like to give to charities at the holidays, but hopefully people will do it yearound too!
This is such a great program. Vitamins are so important.
Vitamins are so super-important. I hate, hate, hate that people don’t have vitamins on hand and love that there is help out there.
What a great cause. All kids should have access to the vitamins they need to be healthy.
Vitamin Angels is awesome. If children are hungry, then they are also lacking all the nutrients they need. This is a really great idea.
Thank you for sharing this info. I was not aware. That little girls face just melts my darn heart!
This is an absolutely wonderful organization. I’m going to donate today.
Wow what a wonderful cause! If I had a paying job instead of student teaching I would totally donate!
What a great campaign. I’ve never actually heard of it but what a great cause for the needy.
What a great organization trying to help children around the world! I Would donate in honor of my niece who passed away 3 years ago.
I agree! Even the smallest gift can completely impact and change someone’s life for the better.
What a great cause. Something so simple and yet so helpful.
Its wonderful when companies give back. This is a great cause to help people all around the world who need it.
What a great cause! It would be a wonderful way to give on Giving Tuesday, and everyday!
This is a great cause to donate to. Good nutrition is so important, especially for children.
This is so neat. I had no idea these programs were available.
This is such a great initiative. I’m all for paying it forward and helping those who are less fortunate.
This is a great campaign. I hope many people will donate at this cause.
I had not heard of this cause yet but it sounds great! Very affordable as well for those on a tight budget who want to help.
What a great cause! I’ll definitely be adding this to my to do list this year!

I have just recently learned of this organization! I’m totally amazed by it and such a worthy cause. Thanks for the great review.
This is such a great cause. It is so important to have vitamins. I will look into this more.
This sounds like a great cause and way that we can give back. Thank you for sharing.
This is such a great cause that fits perfectly with my giving Tuesday plans. I’ve never thought about those who might need vitamins not having access to them. Thank you for the information.
I always try to find products that help to support Vitamin Angels. I love that they are trying to help so many people.
What a great way for any family or individual to help make a difference, no matter how tight their budget is! There are so many organizations that ask for donations around the $50 price point, but that’s a lot of money that can’t be spared for so many families. But there are many more that wouldn’t even notice a quarter that’s gone! Thanks for sharing this great info!
More than anyone those children need a gift this Christmas!
What a great program! I love all the help that people and companies give others this time of year.
