Waikiki parade

On the second night of our Hawaii, Oahu adventure we were invited to have dinner by the beach at Duke’s Waikiki!

Duke’s is located in the heart of Waikiki inside the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort, so we just walked to dinner from our hotel. The walk took about 5 minutes and it was fun to explore this area more. This turned out to be an even more amazing evening when we realized that there was a once a year parade happening during our walk to dinner. It was such a treat to see all of these different cultures being celebrated!

When we arrived at Duke’s, we realized that not only were we in for some great food… but also an experience eating here.dukes Waikiki review

The tables are spread out with amazing views of the ocean and the sunset if you are dining in the evening.

There were also multiple choices for both vegetarians and vegans. This is a sampling of what we had… and the very next day they were completely changing the menu to offer more non-meat and plant based options. I would call ahead and ask for the current menu before making a reservation to see what the current offering is. I believe one item will be a tofu steak that sounded amazing… and something that we plan to go back just to have!

One thing you have to order if you have a sweet tooth us the Hula Pie! There is a reason they are famous for this ice cream pie! The combination of warm fudge sauce and ice cream are what dreams are made of!
