Waking up Saturday morning with this view was pretty awesome!

morning coffee

Having coffee with this view was even more awesome…

Relaxing in these chairs, while enjoying coffee and this view was the most awesome. I might have made up a word there, but it really was a great way to start the day. Pete and I sat here for a little bit while the girls got ready for the day and we both agreed we could totally get used the this!

As soon as we got back to the room Emmy declared it Oasis Water Park time, and since the Villas where we were staying were literally right above the water park towards the front, we were doing this moments later!

lazy river

Aside from just relaxing in one of the many lounge chairs and cabanas, there is also a wave pool, lazy river, and huge slide! Those were the things that we focused on anyways.

lazy river fun

Emmy clearly was having the time of her life in the lazy river (so was Pete)!

This slide!!! I lost count of how many times the girls and Pete went up and down it! So fun!

huge slide

“MOM! Did you see that? I went even faster this time!” – said, Emmy.

wave pool

I loved sitting in the shade and taking it all in. This really does make for a great vacation for us out of towners, and a perfect staycation for those in Arizona.

puppy

We left the water park at lunchtime when the sun was at its hottest because they were having an early heatwave. It worked out perfectly to spend more time with Pete’s brother’s family who lives in the area. They just bought a new home and put in a pool so we had to test it out, ha! It passed and was fantastic!

Even more importantly, they got a new puppy! This girl was so sweet and a total lap dog. I thought about sneaking her into my suitcase and taking her home, but I couldn’t do that to my niece. She loves her so much!

pool

Teens are so different than younger kids I tell ya! I mean I know they are different, but it still shocks me that they would rather sit around a fire pit in that heat just because it was pretty to look at.

Before we knew it another day had passed. I feel like Arizona rewards you each night with these sunsets. They are so gorgeous!

We all climbed into bed exhausted and happy after a great day at Arizona Grand Resort & Spa.
