Arizona family vacation guide

mornings

Yesterday was bitter sweet. We were excited to travel to our next spot in Arizona, but so bummed to leave White Stallion Ranch. Our time here had been so wonderful and it felt like we were leaving our second home as we were packing up and heading out.

To commemorate our last morning there, I had my coffee out on the patio and took in the sights. The mornings are absolutely perfect temperature wise and I wanted to remember this time at the ranch when it is quiet and oh so peaceful!

ranch breakfast

After coffee Pete, Ashley, and Emmy got back from an early morning ride and we all headed to breakfast. After Emmy ate, she said she was really going to miss breakfast here because it is so delicious!

After breakfast, it was time to get on the road. We said goodbye to these views above and after about 90 minutes, hello to the view below from our new two bedroom villa suite at the Arizona Grand Resort.

Iview

Our suite has a beautiful view of the expansive golf course on property and Emmy loved the extra blue in the water.

The suite has two bedrooms, two huge bathrooms, a sitting area, full kitchen, two patios, and dinette.

We had the biggest treat when we had family come over to visit us and hang out at the resort for the afternoon!

fun

After catching up in the hotel room, the girls were so excited to go to Oasis Water park. The resort has their own water park that is for the exclusive use of hotel guests. It is really cool!

We were lucky enough to have a hosted cabana to relax in for the day. It was divine!

Luxury resort

This was the best fruit ever. Sweet, cool,  and perfect for a warm Arizona day. There was also a platter of cookies and buckets of ice cold water!

The afternoon went by way too quickly and before we knew it, dinner time was here!

aunt chilada's

The resort has multiple restaurants to choose from and since we love Mexican food… we were happy to be dining at Aunt Chilada’s!

The restaurant is situated a short stroll from the center of the resort on an outer corner. You can either drive or walk. We chose to enjoy the warm evening air and walked there. We all loved the brightly colored interior and the festive atmosphere.

The food was really good too. Having grown up in Southern California and raised on really good Mexican food, I’m always critical of Mexican food outside SoCal. This was definitely not the style of Mexican food I was used to eating, but it was really good and I loved trying a new type of Mexican food. We’d definitely eat here again!

Here is our day six video recap:

Today we are heading back to Oasis Water Park and then to see Pete’s brother’s family’s new home here in Phoenix! We are so happy to be able to spend more time with family and have a beautiful resort to call home during out stay here.
