We started it off with a quick vacation down to the Bahia Hotel in San Diego located on the bay! The Bahia has everything a family would need for an amazing trip! There is a pool and spa, tennis courts, fitness center, business center and access to water sports!

Here are some photos of the beautiful hotel

The rooms at the Bahia are spacious and right on the bay which was perfect for us since we love the water. The in-room amenities include a kitchenette with a refrigerator and coffee maker. There is also a sitting area on the bar.

The bathroom was well appointed and the shower water was nice and warm with a good flow. <— That is a BIG deal to me!

After dinner we were all tired, but not quite ready to go to sleep… and this is where we hung out for the evening while we watched TV on the flatscreen. The balcony had a view of the bay so we left the room open to enjoy all the sights and sounds of the water.

This was little ones favorite spot during our entire stay. She wanted to stay there for a “thousand” days, she told me.

When we checked in we were also given passes to go on the Bahia Belle, which is complimentary for hotel guest and only $10 for non-guests. It’s about a one hour cruise around the harbor and absolutely beautiful!

The hotel offers a long list of specials and activities for guests. From family movie nights by the pool to kids crafts and beach fun there are tons of things to do! During the summer they also have Brazilian Carnival Nights! We went to the opening night and had a blast… I’ll be sharing more about our amazing evening of food and fun in a following post!
