For a couple days of our “Tour of Florida” we spent a week having fun at Disney World, and we were provided a hosted stay at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. This beautiful resort is about 15 minutes away from Disney World in ChampionsGate. It is a very easy drive down the highway to pretty much anything you want to do in the Orlando area.

The lobby is beautiful and as soon as you arrive you are personally welcomed.

Before we showed the girls the resort grounds, we checked into our rooms and found some treats waiting for us!

This is just one of the many ways that we felt at home during our stay.

The rooms themselves are spacious, luxurious, and perfect for families. We had two connecting rooms on an upper floor with a resort view. Pete and I had a king sized bed and the girls shared a double queen room.

The views from the resort are breathtaking!

We could look out over the expansive golf course and both the adult and family pool areas.

At night, we were delivered fresh cookies and milk for the kids. Someone (not naming names, Emily) thought this was the best thing ever and kept asking when it was bedtime so she could have some cookies and milk before brushing her teeth at night.

Mornings were just as awesome. We learned pretty quickly that hotel breakfasts in Florida are unlike any others, and the Omni was the first to show us this. From a fresh omelette bar to a beautiful fruit collection, the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day.

Then there were all the pools… starting with the adult only pool.

Not too far from the adults pool was the family pool area. It was huge! Featuring a zero-entry family pool with a 125-foot corkscrew water slide and water tower plus a 850-foot lazy river with shooting water cannons, arched waterspouts, and a waterfall!

And a water tower that Emmy clearly LOVED! It was perfect for little ones too as it fed into the big pool but had a low water level to splash around in.

Of course there is an awesome slide too that Pete and the girls enjoyed over and over again!

The resort also features daily activities for the whole family.

If you travel with children like we do, you will be happy to see that they have a very fun kids camp…

Pete and Ash were thrilled to see the on site gym.

They also have basketball and tennis courts for guests to use.

My personal favorite amenities were the food and beverage service.

You all know how much I love room service coffee deliveries… especially when they offer soy milk! This was such a welcome start to our morning before we headed down to the buffet each morning.

Aside from the morning options, the resort offers multiple on site dining options for both lunch and dinner. For lunch you can even order pool side at the Croc’s poolside bar and grill. We didn’t have a moment to enjoy a meal there, but we did have dinner during our stay at Trevi’s, and it was delicious! dinner Italian food omni orlando

I can’t say enough about how delicious the food was. It was fresh and they welcomed our dietary restrictions without blinking!

Don’t forget to order the gnocchi! It is house made and the best we have ever had!
