We are days away from our tropical family vacation and in between packing we’ve been planning some island style.
My middle daughter and I started using Dove Pure Care Dry Oil hair care products a couple days ago. We really like them and are excited to take them on our trip with us! My daughter and I have totally different hair and we’ve found that they are suitable for all hair types. My hair is a lot fizzier than hers, and hers is a lot thicker than mine. Dove Pure Care Dry Oil works awesome for both of us and it resulted in smooth and silky hair, with hold throughout the day for both of us! The dry oil is my favorite oil I’ve ever tried and it features a blend of African Macadamia oil and Coconut oil.
We created this “Three Minute French Braid Crown & Ponytail” to showcase just how awesome these products are!
I have a full tutorial for you to recreate this look and a fun challenge for you too with “Dove Silky Hair Dare”!

I want beautiful, silky hair but I don’t want it weighed down by heavy products that claim to nourish and add shine which is why I’m loving these products.
Dove Pure Care Dry Oil collection is ideal for all hair types and delivers five times silkier hair [after just one wash]. Seriously huge breakthrough for me and my fizzy hair! Another benefit is the 5x silkier hair when using the system of shampoo, conditioner and treatment vs. non-conditioning shampoo. It nourishes hair without making it feel greasy or heavy, plus it’s proven to absorb quickly.
Here is the step by step instructions for my 3 minute French Braid Crown & Ponytail.
1. Follow the directions on the bottles to wash and condition your hair with the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil System.
2. Blow it dry and add the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil according to the bottle instruction. Remember that a little goes a long way.
3. Separate a section of the front of your hair.
4. Start the french braid at one side and work your way down to the end.
5. Pull the rest of your hair into a side pony tail. This is very easy to do when using the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil products. Your hair is so smooth and easy to work with.
6. Roll the braid around your ponytail. My daughters hair is long so this goes around more than once. Mine isn’t so long so I only wrap it sound once. Secure with bobby pins.

On a busy day…wash and goooo! during work- ponytail back! But I like this braided crown, I just might have to try it now that my hair got long enough.
That looks so pretty and seems so easy. I just recently started using oil in my daughters hair too. I’ll have to try the Dove oil.
That’s a really adorable french braid. I wish I could do that. Thanks for sharing. I love Dove products.
Even with this tutorial I’d probably need help. I’m so bad at doing my hair. LOL. Looks cute though!
Cute braids. I love it. She has beautiful hair
Dove Advanced Hair Care Dry Oil System -I am definitely going to have to try this one out! My hair is just not behaving lately and I am letting it grow out.
Very Cute! Will pass it along to my sister.
My hair still isn’t long enough to do this. I might have to try the dry oil though, because my hair is thick and frizzy.
I love that hair style! And I’ve never heard of Dove;s Pure Care Dry Oil, but I may need to check it out myself. I’m sure it would make styling my hair so much easier!
That’s amazing what you did with her hair, it looks beautiful!
Love the hair style! My daughters hair isn’t long enough (she’s only 18 months old) but I cannot wait to style her hair like this!
I love braiding my hair when I’m going hiking. It keeps it completely out of my way. This braid is so pretty! Sadly I have no one to do this on, my sister’s hair is too short, and my only child is a little boy ;)!
Such an adorable little girl and what a cute look with the braids.
oh! such cute hair! so healthy too! I’ve to try these dove products!
This is a super cute hair style. I’ll have to grow my hair out in order to try this style.
What a cute and easy hairstyle idea.
What a cute hairdo. I will definitely have to try this on my daughter.
I didn’t know Dove has dry oil?! Oh i must try it! Thank you and what meticulous hands you have. the braid is awesome and neat!
My hair sometimes gets all frizzy. Maybe this will help get the frizziness away.
I want to give that dry oil a try. Haven’t seen that in supermarkets here, though.
Oh my gosh this is super cute!! I’ll have to give it a try sometime.
I was just looking at this product because I just dyed my hair. I will have to get some and try this braid. Thanks for sharing.
We really like Dove products here. And her hair turned out so cute!! I like that it’s not a typical style, and it’s oh so fun!
How simple and cool is that hair style?! I’ve never been good with the french braid.. I think I should practice more!
What an adorable hairdo! Too bad my hair isn’t long enough to do that!
What a beautiful little ‘do! I never learned to French braid and I am still so jealous of those who can pull them off. Why must they be so difficult for me!?
I love Dove products. I use their Clear Tone deodorant and have used their shampoo before with really great results. Thinking I need to pick up the dry oil system. I just started dying my hair (ugh, grays!) and know I’ll need some hydrating, silky love soon!
Super cute–I know my daughter would like this whiles she’s playing soccer
That is so lovely. My wife would love to try it too lol
