Secrets To Beautiful Summer Skin

So often when we think of skincare, we jump to the skin on our faces, but that is just a tiny piece of the skincare puzzle. Our skin covers our entire body and plays an integral part in our overall health, and as such, we need to take extra care of it during the summer months. Thankfully, CVS has us covered, and all I have to do to stock up products to take care of my skin this summer is to head into my local CVS. They have everything I need!

Here are my secrets to beautiful summer skin.

coconut oil for healthy skin tips

Coconut Oil Is King.

Yes, I’m totally going there. Not only do I love to add CVS Cold Pressed Coconut Oil to pretty much everything I eat, but I also love to use it to keep my skin soft and moisturized. I don’t apply it right before I head out into the sun, but instead, I use it throughout the day as a natural lotion. I also apply it at night to my face after I’ve been out in the sun, and I wake up with glowing skin!

tips to take care of your skin

Did you spend a little too much time in the sun, or miss a spot when you applied your sun protection? Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us and there is help available. Cortisone ointment and CVS Regular Strength Pain Relief both help take the sting away and keep you from itching and harming delicate skin.

staying hydrated

Last but not least, is to stay hydrated no matter where you are enjoying your summer days. From the beach to the pool, and everywhere in between, you have to have a hydration plan. We love to bring ice water with us when we leave the house, but when we forget, or just want a better for you treat we head into CVS for some flavored sparkling water. It is so refreshing and fun to drink.

After we are back home, we also remember to use CVS Aftersun Aloe Vera Lotion. You don’t have to have had direct contact with the sun to benefit from its use. Wind and even air conditioning can damage skin and the healing benefits of aloe vera are massive. It also helps your skin from getting that dried out, tight feeling that can often happen during the warmer months… especially if you live or visit a drier climate.

How do you take extra good care of your skin in the summer?
