Day three of our family vacation to Riviera Nayarit at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit was AMAZING! We hope you enjoy these reviews and of course, special thanks to Velas Resorts for hosting us.

We woke up to this amazing view again.

It was like being in paradise to sip my coffee, walk out onto our huge balcony and have this to look out over!

After breakfast, we spent the morning at the pool…

Doing pool things, like visiting the children’s pool…

And splashing around in the other pools.

Of course, we also had drinks.

The drinks here are the best.

None of that premixed cocktail stuff around here!

It was everything you would want in a relaxing day spent by the pool.

Remember how I keep saying that Grand Velas thinks of everything, well they even have sunblock ready for you to use too.

In addition to the drinks, we also ordered poolside snacks, like guacamole and chips!

If you love seafood, you will love their fresh options.

When you plan your trip here, make sure to leave a few days to just relax and enjoy the pool.

Bring a book and some magazines and just breath in the ocean air.

We had lunch at Azul and admired the view.

The service here is exceptional at every turn and we looked forward to seeing our servers just as much as eating the food.

The food here is fine dining so that really says something about the service.

For us Americans especially, coffee is a big deal.

I didn’t realize just how big of a deal until we traveled more out of the country and espresso was hard to come by at some hotels.

Here we had no problem getting soy lattes around the clock. They were really good too!

For dinner, Emmy went back to the kid’s club, Pete and Ash ate at Azul, and Maddie and I had a special dinner at Frida… just the two of us.

We ordered their special vegan menu and said to surprise us with any variations they wanted to.

That is one of my favorite things to do… leave it to the chef’s to create the meal.

When we do that, there are often a lot of wonderful surprises!

It started with non-alcoholic drinks created tableside. These were soooo good!

Then we had homemade guacamole made right in front of us and to our personal liking.

We were so full at the end.

Everything was perfect and we loved how creative the chef is with his vegan offerings.

After the sunset, we were in for one last surprise! Fireworks!

Be sure to watch our video to see them and more of our day.

Have you planned your spring break vacation yet?
