Have you seen this video yet? I love it! I think it really shows just how much we as moms are responsible for… but in a really funny way. I watched the video not knowing what it was about and then at the end I actually teared up a bit. I’m totally not a crier… but it made me realize how much work it is to be a mom… but also how much I LOVE the job! It’s the best one I’ve ever had and the one I’m most proud of… even if it’s completely unpaid. Well, that’s not true. I get paid in hugs and kisses and really that’s worth all the gold in the world.

American Greetings created a job posting for a company, Rethom Inc. (“Mother” spelled backward), based on everything moms do under the title ‘Director of Operations’ and placed it across 27 markets through job postings, 14 market newspaper classified ads and 2 Google sponsored ad units, resulting in 2.7MM impressions. The job description outlined all of the tasks of a mother without revealing the job was indeed a mom. In the end, Cardstore only had 24 inquiries – thereby proving that being a mom is the world’s toughest (but most rewarding) job.

Take a moment and watch this video… I’ll wait for you!

Amazing and exhausting… with a touch of terror is how I describe my first few months of motherhood. My oldest was born at 34 weeks and after 5 days in the hospital, we both went home with her only weighing 4 1/2 pounds. We had to feed her every 2 hours with a tube taped to our finger. Aside from recovering from a c-section after months of bedrest I had a newborn that wasn’t growing as well as she should be. I was a mess, but I was so in love with my little baby that my life felt like I was the luckiest person on the planet. I totally get everything in the video!

I know my own mom was instrumental in everything in my life growing up and in that of my own children so I decided to make her a special mothers day card! Using allows you to create custom cards by adding personal photos, personalized messaging and your signature. Then, will print, stamp and send the card for you!

In three easy steps I had my card ready to be mailed. First step was to pick the card I wanted. This was definitely the hardest part. They have some really awesome cards but I loved this one the moment I saw it!

Next I added a picture of my girls to it.

After that I added our own text to it, approved it and placed the order! It shipped really quickly too or you can even schedule it ahead of time. I mean, really, you could sit down at the computer and schedule out all the birthday, anniversary and holiday cards for the whole year. How cool is that?

I love talking about everything that is awesome about motherhood! What is your favorite part about being a mom… or what do you love most about your mom?
