Thank you Warner Bros. Pictures for inviting us to a weekend of magical adventure to experience the new FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD movie.

We are off on another adventure… but before we left we made a quick stop in LA to see the first screening of the new movie, FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD!

When we arrived at our hotel, the girls had some pretty amazing surprises waiting for them in their room, wands, scarves, and three sweet Nifflers.

Early the next morning we loaded up with popcorn, donuts, and coffee (for the adults) and joined a theater full of Harry Potter fans to watch the movie.

No spoilers from us, but I have a few things to say about the movie:

First, I’ve never read any of the books or seen any of the movies until the night before we saw FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD.  Randomly, the first FANTASTIC BEASTS movie, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM was playing on the TV in our hotel room. Pete and I both watched most of it in our room and when we met up with the girls later for dinner, they too had been watching it! So Pete and I went into the new movie with a little knowledge about the storyline, but we were not super fans and I’m sure a lot went over our heads.

The girls are all on the scale of a fan to a super fan of all things Harry Potter and also Fantastic Beasts.

So, our thoughts on the movie are from all views and Harry Potter history.

The movie is over two hours long (2 hours and 14 minutes) but it flies by and at the end, I was wishing that it was double that length.

The girls who speak fluent Harry Potter all LOVED it. They obviously got some things that Pete and I didn’t just because they have read all the books and have seen all the other movies.

Pete and I equally loved it but in a different way. We were entertained the whole time and thought the cast was perfect. I almost think we have a huge advantage being late to the party here because we are learning the story from the absolute start and then when we watch the others we will be enjoying it in a totally different way.

So pretty much if you have never seen any Harry Potter movies or the first Fantastic Beasts movie, you will still completely enjoy this movie.

To celebrate the new movie we saw it in the morning and then went straight to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™! It felt like we were living our dream life inside the movie.

Emmy, of course, had to buy a robe and practice her owl skills!

There was also plenty of wizardry happening…and butterbeer!

We also went on all the rides!

We saw FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD and LOVED it! Oh you guys, this movie was truly amazing. The girls are all true Harry Potter fans so it was a given they would love this, but Pete and I are relatively new to the whole experience and we thought it was awesome. #WBpartner _____ I have to be so careful talking about it because I don’t want to slip on saying too much, but there were so many surprises I didn’t see coming and it was thrilling to watch. The cast were all perfect and at 2 hours and 14 min. we were all left wishing it was double that running time- it was that good! _____ It will be in theaters on November 16 and I can’t recommend you bringing the whole family enough! _____ To celebrate the release we saw a Fans First screening and then spent the day at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and it truly felt like we were living our Harry Potter dreams! _____ We are already planning to see it again once it is out in theaters! Are you excited to see @FantasticBeastsMovie too? _____ #FantasticBeasts #HarryPotter
