The weather here in Southern California has been crazy.

One second it is warm, almost hot really, like in the 80’s. Then just today the fog rolled in and it was in the 60’s. It seemed to happen all within in a few minutes. This is great if you like change and uncertainty in your life, but if you are like Em and me… we don’t enjoy it so much.

The good news is that it also felt like a switch was turned on and we were suddenly in the mood for some couch time and a good show to watch. She and I are so alike in that way. We both love some downtime and as soon as the weather gets cool, we are on it!

Of course, those of you who live where there is real weather are probably laughing right now. You all have been having our couch time weather for months and probably need a good recommendation for what to watch unlike anyone around here. And you are in luck because Emmy and I found a good one… and we are giving away three copies too!

Let me introduce you to Nella the Princess Knight!

Nella is captivating and Em nailed it when she said, this is something I’m going to watch with my little cousins too. It was not only entertaining for her to watch, but this is something the younger ones will love too.

Emmy had so much fun joining along as Nella goes on some daring quests as she transforms into a princess knight and courageously defends her kingdom. Whether she’s searching for a lost invitation or rescuing a phoenix, Nella is always ready to stand up for what’s right.

Em also wants me to mention that she does it in style too. She thought her outfits were awesome and she loves how she is such a strong and powerful girl. I liked that too!

Nella the Princess Knight contains 88 minutes of fun and the following episodes:

  • Princess Nella’s Orc-hestra
  • That’s What Best Friends Are For
  • Big Birthday Surprise
  • Sir Clod
  • The Blaine Game
  • Knightly Knight Dragons
  • Inside and Seek
  • Up All Knight

The next 88 minutes that we spent together were so fun.

We watched all of the episodes in a row and then Em picked some favorites to rewatch. She even was Facetiming with her cousin in a different state and was showing her how much fun it is to watch.

There was a lot of cheering and some sword action as Nella did on the TV. The characters are all really fun too and the storyline captivated her!

  • My kids love Nickelodeon programing!! This one looks just as fabulous! I love the idea of a Princess Knight! What a great concept and inspiration for little girls!

  • I don’t have any kiddos but I do love snuggling together with my hubby on the couch when the weather’s cold. Here in Ontario that’s months at a time!

  • Here in Georgia it may be hot one day and cold the next this time of year so I totally get it. I love those snuggle on the sofa days too. Binge watching is always fun especially with the kiddos. Most recently I kept my sweet grandson while he was sick and we got under a blanket and watched old westerns. He loved it!

  • My babies are big now. I miss snuggling with them and watching a tv program or movie. Your daughter is a cutie. So fun for her to talk to family that don’t live close.

  • I had never heard of Nella the Princess before but she seems like an adorable character! Also, what fun episode titles. ‘Princess Nella’s Orc-hestra’ seems especially fun.

  • I’ve not heard of Nella the Princess! My daughter is more of a Tom Boy and not really into princesses, so that’s probably why!

  • Aww this looks like a lovely program for little ones, if mine were still small I would definitely pick it up for them 🙂

  • Oh wow, This looks so fun. My daughter loves Nella the Princess Knight ! If you enjoy posting about this please do more of it

  • This looks super nice! I’ve never heard of this before. My youngest might still be into this show, she is picky when it comes to her cartoons. I have to ask her about this. Thanks for sharing!

  • Having lived in SoCal, the funniest part of this story is the complaint of a 20 degree swing in the temp. It’s 2 degrees here today…

  • My kids are all grown up now. Nevertheless, I think Nella The Princess Knight is a good show for little girls to watch. I love that it would teach them empowerment. I will recommend this to my sister. Her daughter is just about the right age for this show.

  • My niece would love this DVD. She is all about the princess life, especially when the princess is the hero. I love that so many animated features these days are just about the fairytale, they are also about empowering kids.

  • I love it! Yes more diverse cartoon and little girls can see representation of other hero characters as girls!

  • I hope I’m not too late for this, but if I am I truly hope you enjoy my memory! Just yesterday evening. I took my oldest daughter to dance class, she is seven, and was invited to stay and be her valentine. It turns out that being her valentine meant I had to get up and learn her dance moves with the rest of the class. Even knowing how silly I looked it meant so much to see her smiling back at me in the mirror. One of my top memories so far!

  • We are HUGE Nella fans here too! 1.5, 3 & 6 with both genders in that mix and it’s a definite hit here. Nella has so many great traits and the show represents values we hope to instill in our kiddos. Love this and love how happy Emmy looks watching!
