Universal Orlando Resort – Halloween Horror Nights, Wizarding World of Harry Potter and More

Thanks so much to Universal Orlando Resorts for providing us free tickets to Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Orlando, and Halloween Horror Nights so we could experience everything!

We had a challenge….see everything we could at Universal Orlando Resort in one day!

This turned out to be impossible, but we did our best to get as much done as possible. It helped so much that we had Express passes to all the attractions, so our waiting in line time was very minimal.

We had to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Minions ride, and much more. It was a full day and we had the greatest time!

At night, Maddie and I went back out to Universal Studios Orlando where the park was transformed to Halloween Horror Nights.

This was really impressive and we were just amazed at all that went into it. There were many “houses” to go through where you would be scared by various monsters around every turn. Each was based on a movie.

We’re going to have to find a way to go back next year because I don’t think we saw even 10% of what there is to offer at Universal Orlando Resort.

How are you celebrating Halloween Time?

  • I’ve not been to Universal Orlando Resort but it looks like lots of fun. I have to ask, what did the butterbeer taste like? lol That place looks awesome and the Harry Potter areas look just like the films. How fun!!

  • Sounds like you guys had a blast! That would have been an awesome challenge to achieve but yeah.. I know how hard it is to do small parks all in one day let alone one that large!

  • We have already gone to our local pumpkin patch and had a great time. As we get closer to Halloween we will probably do a trunk or treat at the school. We always take the kids out trick or treating on Halloween as well. So fun. I love this time of the year!! I would love to visit Universal during Halloween season!!

  • This is a beautiful resort to spend Halloween at! It’s my first time to learn about Universal Orlando Resort. We aren’t feeling the holiday spirit yet since we don’t have kids at home and here in the Philippines, the -ber months evoke the Christmas air more than anything else.

  • Oh how I would love to be able to go back, especially this time of the year! We visited Disney which we loved but then we went to Universal and we all agree, it was better for our family.

  • I would so love to visit Universal Orlando Resort. I think I will plan a getaway for late spring 2018. Thinking about surprising the kids! Looks like you had such a blast. It’s the inspiration I needed.

  • I haven’t been to Univeral in so many years! They sure have a lot of great treats for family and kids during Halloween. I have to admit that I’m a bit of a scaredy cat and would avoid the spooky houses.

  • I’ve never been to Orlando at all but kinda want to go an impromptu trip this weekend just coz’ we needed a vacay. Will check this out.

  • My husband and daughter would love to visit Universal Orlando for the Horror Nights alone! They are all into the ‘scare me half to death’ excitement. The rest of my family is content dressing up and collecting candy.

  • Universal Orlando Resort is an amazing place. Halloween time is always a fun time to go to Disney. I love to see the parks all decorated.

  • OH, how fun! I would want to visit Orlando Resort and see what it offers. I bet you had so much fun there!

  • We had a trip planned to see Harry Potter World last Christmas but my son had surgery the day before Thanksgiving so no go. Still have to get it planned. Halloween would be so fun.

  • Seriously? How awesome is that! I;d love to go the American Horry Story houses. Which one was your favorite? Sounds like a crazy cool way to celebrate halloween!
