With Christmas just 12 days away… it is time to make a game plan for the stockings.

I LOVE helping Santa top off my kid’s stockings almost as much as I love watching them discover all the little goodies inside them. We’ve had this tradition since I was little that as we eat breakfast on Christmas morning, and before we open presents, we all open stockings together.

We go around the room and everyone opens their stocking, then shows what is inside it. Stockings for us are a big deal. That means that the gifts we put in the stockings are ones that are thoughtful and personalized.

Thankfully CVS has everything I needed to stuff the perfect stockings this year. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes with the contents of a pretty awesome stocking for my teens!

Since I was shopping for a teen, I went straight to the trendy face masks that were on display right when we walked in the store. I didn’t set out to have a spa stocking this year for her, but once I started compiling some fun things, I realized how much easier it is to shop when there is a theme.

I also knew from the start that I was going to keep the focus on non-edibles, so the spa theme was perfect.

Of course, it didn’t hurt that there were ExtraBucks offers all over the store!

I plan to use these to help pay for the other two stockings I need to stuff. I love that CVS Pharmacy makes it easy to save money with their ExtraCare Rewards program. ExtraCare members receive exclusive benefits including earning 2% cash back in the form of Quarterly ExtraBucks, personalized savings offers, and app-only deals. I love when my receipt prints out because there are always coupons on there for things that I need! You can also use the CVS Pharmacy mobile app to manage your ExtraCare Card, view current deals/rewards, and send the ones you love directly to your card.

This coming week is the perfect week to find those surprising stocking stuffers because December 17-24 is #StockingStufferWeek at CVS Pharmacy, and luckily, they have everything you need to fill your stockings in one place this season – including a variety of unique, affordable and unexpected finds. Some of this year’s best items include tech gadgets, trending beauty and fragrance offerings, premium chocolates, and personalized photo gifts.

Plus, it is super convenient to shop there right now. With the holiday season being so busy and hectic, CVS Pharmacy makes it easy to skip the headache of trips to malls and busy department stores to easily find exactly what’s needed for the season in one place – including quality gifts, surprising stocking stuffers, and everyday essentials for the home and entertaining – all aimed at creating a convenient and less stressful shopping experience for customers.

CVS Pharmacy is also the go-to destination to find a variety of high-quality gifts for anyone on your list – including the hottest beauty products, designer fragrances, signature toy brands, premium chocolates, personalized photo gifts from CVS Photo, and unexpected finds like Bluetooth headphones, virtual reality headsets, family games and more.

A number of tips to remember when you are shopping for stocking stuffers:

  • Include a mix of old favorites and new finds to keep it interesting.
  • Have a theme.
  • Lists are good. If there are items you definitely want to include, keep a list with you.
  • Don’t feel like you have to have candy in the stocking. There are plenty of other great items.
  • Personalize as much of the contents as possible and make just a little overlap with the other stockings.
  • Teens love self-care items. Makeup, lotion, lipgloss, face masks and more. The possibilities are endless.
  • CVS has a whole section with traditional stocking stuffers like candies and little trinkets too. It was in the middle section at our local store so keep a lookout for that too.

While you are at CVS Pharmacy, remember they are there to keep you feeling your best this time of year.

Flu season is now upon us, and with a handful of holidays coming up, it is important to stay healthy. Catching the flu is not only a health concern but can cause many people to miss out on some life events including celebrating the holidays.

Getting a flu shot is the most effective way to protect yourself and your family from catching the flu.

CVS’ 9,600 retail pharmacy locations and more than 1,100 walk-in medical clinics (MinuteClinic), have everything you need for flu prevention, including numerous flu vaccinations, over-the-counter cold and flu remedies, multivitamins and anti-bacterial cleaning products and are open every day, including evenings and weekends, with no appointment needed.

If you do happen to catch the flu, CVS can be a helpful resource: With 76% of the U.S. population living within 5 miles of a CVS Pharmacy, it’s never been easier to find what you need exactly when you need it. And with the CVS Pharmacy mobile app, users can shop via the app, place an order and have it delivered right to their car door with CVS Curbside pickup.

At MinuteClinic, vaccinations for children (18 months and older in most states) through seniors are administered by a medical provider. Patients are able to view wait times and schedule a visit online, or walk-in anytime.

In addition to the flu vaccine, it is important to make sure all your common immunizations are up to date before heading off to a crowded gathering. This includes pneumonia, chicken pox, and the shingles vaccine for seniors. If you are planning to be around new babies, it is especially important to have your Tdap (whooping cough) immunization as newborns cannot yet be vaccinated and whooping cough can cause serious illness for young children.

The holidays are a busy time for travel with people from all over trying to get to their families. Sometimes taking care of yourself during such a hectic time can get put on the backburner, but CVS Pharmacy and MinuteClinic have you covered. MinuteClinic offers travel health services including pre-travel consultations and motion sickness prevention in addition to Typhoid and Zika care in case you are traveling overseas.

With the CVS Pharmacy App, you’re able to quickly and easily transfer prescriptions to a CVS location nearest you if you are out of town or forgot your medication.

Whether you cut yourself carving the turkey or one of the kids twists an ankle playing in the annual football game, accidents do happen, but rest assured that MinuteClinic can help in many of these minor illnesses and injuries. MinuteClinic can be a convenient and inexpensive alternative to an emergency room visit and with no appointment necessary, will get you back to celebrating in no time.

  • CVS is the perfect place to find stocking stuffers. Whenever my daughter and I have to fill a prescription we always find tons of great little things to put away for stocking stuffers!

  • Those are great ideas! Funny, I do lots of stocking stuffer shopping at CVS too because it is right around the corner from me. The kids always want stuff like gum, candies, and spa stuff, so I usually grab some bath bombs, hand sanitizers etc. My daughter has been eyeing those Duo lip balms too, I’ll have to remember to get one.

  • Lists are definitely helpful when shopping for different items for different recipients. I can’t keep track of everything if I don’t have one.

  • I headed to CVS a couple of weeks and ago and stocked up on stocking stuffers. I didn’t make stockings last year because I thought kids were too old but they let me know how unhappy there were about that lol. Everyone’s getting one this year from 9 years to 100.

  • You gave me a great idea with the face masks from CVS. I have a tween and a teen daughter and I’m thinking both would enjoy some beauty items in their stocking.

  • My mom and I stuff stockings for each other every year. It’s fun to look for little personal things all year. I have always loved CVS. They have some items that you can’t find anywhere else. And, who doesn’t love Extra Care Bucks?!?
