Salzburg, Linz, and Mondsee with Adventures By Disney

Another wonderful day in Austria! Thanks to Adventures By Disney for hosting us on an amazing Danube River Cruise for us to feature.
Today started aboard our ship, the AmaViola, which was docked in Linz, Austria. We took a bus to the quaint town of Mondsee where we got to see the Cathedral that was featured in The Sound of Music. In Mondsee, we also had a truly memorable lunch on the Lake that we are still thinking about!
Next, the bus took us to the nearby town of Salzburg, Austria, which was also featured prominently in the movie, The Sound of Music. Salzburg was also the hometown of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
While in Salzburg, we toured the Mirabell Gardens, toured the amazing shopping in the city, and took an elevator ride to the top of the mountain for a great view of the entire area.
We had some time to explore the City of Salzburg on our own for awhile and also spent some time with the Adventures By Disney Group. It was a great combination!!

I have not tried going on a river cruise but watching your video, I think it is a fun experience! It makes me happy to see photos/videos of your vacations/travel escapades as a family.
Awesome views! The churches you visited are beautiful! The houses, buildings, the entire place is so clean, and green! That sure is a day well spent.

I visited that area when I was in college, loved it. Not only beautiful but the people were friendly as well. Hope to go back someday.
