Welcome to part 2 of our family vacation to Las Vegas! If you missed part one hop on over and check it out!

We had another jam packed day but we centered it around lunch! Knowing we were going to Buca di Beppo we had a lighter breakfast. This was only my second time eating at a Buca… but I knew one thing for sure… the portions are HUGE!

When we arrived I was really impressed at the transformation that was done to bring this space up to the standards of a Buca di Beppo. I had been inside the restaurant that used to occupy the space and it was completely different! One of the great things about eating at an established chain restaurant is that there is a better guarantee that the food and service will be consistent at all of their restaurants… this was totally the case here. We were greeted with a very friendly staff!

No trip to Buca is complete without a picture of the “Pope Room”.  This is perfect for the many bachelor and bachelorette parties that are held there. But, it’s also perfect for a family meal! We happen to LOVE the lazy susan spinning table to share the family style dishes.

At lunch time  they offer a different menu along with the regular one and they have a kids meal menu too! We ate off the lunch menu thinking we would be getting smaller meals {we were wrong} since we didn’t have a way to take home leftovers. The kids menu offers tons of choices which is really important to me and my vegetarian kiddos!

The Italian soda’s were a big hit! We don’t often drink soda so this made for a rare treat… I had a sip too… it was really good.

Do you see how generous the serving sizes are… and this was the lunch portion of the kids mac n cheese! Delish!

I’ve heard that the meat balls are to die for… I can’t vouch for that since I don’t eat meat… but my husband gives them 2 thumbs up. He said they were some of the best ever!

This was what I ordered taken from their website:

“Spicy Chicken Rigatoni- Tender chicken breast sautéed with garlic and red pepper, tossed with peas, a spicy rosa sauce and imported Italian rigatoni pasta.”

They were so accommodating when I asked if I could order this without chicken.  It was so good! Good enough that we are going to Buca to celebrate my birthday in a couple weeks just so I can have this again.  Seriously. I crave this now. I was so bummed I couldn’t take the leftovers home with me!

My 10 year old ordered the fettuccine alfredo and she loved it!

We also heard you can’t leave without have the lasagna. Again my husband was happy to be  the taste tester. Again he said it was one of the best he’s ever had {being respectful to his mom :-)} It looked really good and I loved that you could see all the layers of noodles, meat and cheese!

My oldest ordered the pizza. She is a purist with food and loves traditional entrees. This did not disappoint!

Would you believe that my husband actually ordered an entree aside from all the other foods he ate? This is the chicken parmesan. It was perfect!

Um, yes we did have dessert too! This is the Colossal Brownie Sundae. It is HUGE and fed all of us with some left. Brownies and ice cream… need I say more?

And there there was the Chocolate Chip Cannoli. Wow. The girls and I had never had a cannoli before. We must live a very sheltered life. This was amazing. I think the pictures speak for themselves.  I went to snap a picture and all that was left was a tiny bite. I loved the filling.

Clearly we didn’t spend any time in the bar. Something about 3 kids under 21 or something… but I wanted to show you all how beautiful it is. This is the perfect place to grab a drink and just relax {something I plan to do in about 16 years or so}.

To recap: We ate at Buca di Beppo inside the Excaliber in Las Vegas compliments of Bua di Beppo. It was fabulous. The service was top notch and the food excellent! I highly suggest planning a meal at Buca… you won’t be disappointed! Be sure to join their mailing list and connect on their social media pages for awesome discounts!
