Congrats! You started your Bluehost WordPress Blog.
You've selected a name, a great WordPress theme and you're ready to start sharing on your blog. We are going to show you how to publish your first post on your Bluehost WordPress blog.
How to Publish Your First Post on WordPress!
After completing the Sign-up process, you can log into your Bluehost WordPress account from the Bluehost Dashboard. You will then see the section “Posts” in the side menu on the left-hand side on the page.
You will then click on “Add New” to create a new post to publish.
WordPress makes it very easy to quickly add new “blocks” in which you can add content such as headlines, paragraphs, images, videos, graphics and so on!
This is done simply by clicking the small “+” on the screen.
After you have created your content for this new page you would like to publish, you can look at the right-hand side and choose between these different options.
Making your post private or public
Creating a “URL Slug”: like this one would look like peteisneat.com/about-me
Creating tags and more!
You can then choose to either publish your post or “preview” your post. If you decide to preview, it will take you to a screen that shows what the page will look like on your website when published.
Once you have published your post, any changes that need to be made will be able to be updated at any time in your WordPress account when editing your post.
Once you have reviewed your “preview” of your post and it looks as you hoped, you can then press “Publish” and your page will be published and it will show up live on your website once you are ready to push your website live!
You did it! You just published your first WordPress blog post!
