Ever since the drought started a few years ago in Southern California, rain storms are celebrated around here big time. They are also something we really have to prepare for since the ground isn’t used to any amount of rain beyond a mild shower here and there.

As soon as we heard that there was going to be a pretty big series of storms headed our way this week, we have all been in prep mode. The girls and I have been getting flashlights and other things we might need inside the house while Pete has been focusing on other areas of securing our house and yard.

Getting ready for the much needed rain has been a lot easier since Pete started wearing his TREAD by Leatherman.  TREAD is “Anytime, Anywhere” and it can go everywhere so that you always have the tools you need. Their engineers designed multiple tools in each 17-4 stainless steel bracelet link, making usable tools like Allen wrenches, screwdrivers and box wrenches available at a moment’s notice. It is adjustable to accommodate any wrist size and fully customized with the links you need most.  TREAD is made by Leatherman who improves people’s lives by creating high-quality products that prepare them for the expected and unexpected moments in their everyday real lives.

As we prepared for the weather Pete went around making sure that everything was secure and tightening anything that had come loose. We have found that a little bit of preparation has a big impact and this took just minutes to do a quick walk around.

Pete likes wearing the TREAD because it is as stylish as it is functional and he likes knowing that he has a multi-tool that’s always with him whenever he needs it. He likes both the black and the stainless steel and I think the colors are perfect so that you can choose your favorite color. Links can also be removed for a better fit for your wrist size.

Since we are expecting flooding it is also nice to know that TREAD has a glass breaker too. We are always careful when driving in the rain but there is peace of mind knowing that he has that just in case.

The longer Pete wears the TREAD the more times it has proven to be a great thing to have. Emmy had her birthday last week and we didn’t have to search all over the house for a screwdriver to put batteries in her toys as she opened them. It’s the little things like that where we realize just how awesome it is.

How would you use a TREAD by Leatherman?
