dyson v6 absolute review

We have always wanted to try a Dyson Vacuum so I was thrilled to be able to try and share the Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum with you all.

If you haven’t heard of the V6 Absolute, it just became available at Best Buy March 1st!

Dyson’s cordless line will be on their V6 platform. All cordless machines will have the power and versatility of “The Most Powerful Cordless Vacuums”.

Since we have hardwood floors, tile and carpet I really liked that it came with two cleanerheads.

The attachments are both easy to use and very effective. The Dyson Fluffy attachment is a soft roller cleaner head engineered to suck up both large dirt and fine dust simultaneously on hard floors. It offers powerful cleaning without scratching. It also has a 75% more brush power with a second cleaner head features a direct-drive motor that creates 75% more brush bar power than DC59 Animal to better agitate carpet pile and tackle ground-in spills and stains.

I found it extremely easy to push and carry.

It is light weight and has a large, soft roller and increased versatility from a re-designed neck enables smooth movement across floor types. With Dyson’s digital motor V6: The latest Dyson digital motor gives V6 Absolute the most powerful suction of any cordless vacuum in use.

We were also very impressed with the 2 Tier Radial™ Cyclone Technology that flings dust out of the air and into the bin, separating out even the most microscopic particles.

With one push over the car hair was picked up perfectly!

Pete and I both tested it out to see if it is easier or more comfortable for one or the other of us to use (since he is much taller than me). What we learned is that we both found it equally good to use. The handle length and weight was perfect for us both.

I’ve even caught Pete using it to tidy up the downstairs because “it only takes me five minutes to get the whole place vacuumed up”. His words. Which, if a super busy man is willing to use it, one who doesn’t enjoy housework (but totally helps anyways) wants to do this job it’s got to be the vacuum causing it. And for that alone I’m in love with this vacuum. The rest is just a bonus, albeit a very big bonus. It is that awesome.

  • I have always wanted a Dyson vacuum cleaner. I’m hoping to get one for Mother’s Day.

  • With kids and pets, there’s a lot to pick up over here! This sounds like a great option for daily use. I have to get over to Best Buy to try it out!

  • We’ve been looking at Dyson’s for a while and were wondering how heavy they are, we just like you and Pete have a height difference so what is comfortable for me (5’1) isn’t a good option for my husband (6’3). Guess we will be checking the Dyson’s out soon!

  • SO JEALOUS! This vacuum looks awesome. I love how light and portable it is. Also…you know you might be a grownup when you geek out over a vacuum lol.

  • If that gets cat hair off a carpet–and no wires to drag around and get tangled in (or become a play toy for said cat so that I can not exactly get it done)–then I need and want this! Will go to Best Buy to check it out.

  • It looks like an awesome vaccum cleaner, how often do you need to clean out the dirt and can it hold as much as a standard vacuum cleaner?
