It’s been a long time since I’ve crafted a cocktail and I forgot how fun they can be to make and enjoy!
Since we will be going to a party to celebrate the Big Game soon I offered to bring a signature cocktail for everyone to drink as a fun change to the regular beer. Wouldn’t it be fun to raise a glass of wine this year instead?
When I started to think about what cocktail I was going to make all I could think about was the Mojito I had when we were in Turks & Caicos.
My friend Amy introduced me to it, and I haven’t looked back. It was refreshing, sweet, and had a beautiful flavor of citrus and mint. With that as my inspiration, I decided to see if I could create my own version of a Mojito, but using wine instead. The results were amazing! With Frontera Wine as the base, I knew it was going to be a hit! Frontera’s variety of grape types produce a range to satisfy everyone’s taste. It also has great value for the price, so I could create enough for a large crowd. I loved the awesome taste and exceptional quality, but that it isn’t expensive. It’s not surprising that they are award-winning wines with numerous medals from international wine competitions.
Here is how to make your own Mojito Wine Cocktail.
Ingredients:
- Your favorite Frontera Wine
- 1 lemon (not found in a traditional Mojito, but I love the extra flavor it gives)
- 1 lime
- Fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes
- Seltzer water
Directions:
- Muddle a few mint leaves with a slice of lime and lemon at the bottom a your wine glass.
- Add equal parts of seltzer water and Frontera Wine.
- Top with ice cubes and stir.
- Garnish with fresh lemon and lime.
