Thanks to Walt Disney World for providing us tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party and Disney’s Hollywood Studios so we could partake in all the fun.

We have been going to Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland for years now and we love it. It feels like the kickoff of the Halloween season for us and something we look forward to each year. Normally our whole family comes together for a reunion of sorts for the event and that makes it even more special.

This year we decided to mix it up a bit and we had our annual Halloween start of the season at Walt Disney World for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! It was awesome!

It is very similar to the Disneyland party, but also different at the same time. I’ve been asked now that I’ve been to both which was my favorite, and there is no way I could choose. They are both so much fun and the differences make them both special in their own way. Disneyland has that nostalgic feel to it and I love seeing all the costumes that people spend months creating for the party. The party at The Magic Kingdom had what felt like more group costumes and was a lot bigger. My best advice is that you have to experience them both!

Here is more of the fun we had:

We loved seeing the cast members in their spooky costumes…

Em was fascinated with the Halloween balloons:

And then there were the candy trails. So much trick-or-treating fun! There were also allergy-friendly treats too!

I am such a pumpkin person and I loved all the pumpkin decorations!

As we were walking through one of the gift shops, Emmy was called over by the candy makers and surprised with some fresh caramel. She loved it!

During the party, there are also special fireworks, a parade, and special character meet and greets with some of the famous Disney villains where you can have your picture taken with them.

Isn’t the castle beautiful at night?

In true Disney fan mode, Emmy also was very excited to find the best parking space in the world!

We also headed over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to take in all the fun. We went on rides like Hollywood Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, and we saw the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.

Have you been to either of Mickey’s parties?
