Perfection is something that we all strive for. We all want a perfect life.

The world that we live in doesn't allow for perfection and that's okay. Perfection is overrated. Life is more interesting, more fun and brings more adventure when it's not perfect. It's time we accept that life will not be perfect and start living the life that we dream of anyways!

We are given one precious life.  One chance to love and to be loved. One life to fill with memories and fun.

These past few months I have made huge changes in my life. I've chosen to be happy. I look at situations and have trained my brain to see the good. I can feel the change a positive outlook has made everywhere I go, see and do. It's opened doors and helped my children grow to be happier and to live a more fulfilling life.

Positive thinking is more than just thoughts. It is a lifestyle. It is a choice.

Every moment of everyday look for the good. Say hello to your neighbors. Really listen to your kids. Tell your loved ones that you love them. Live each day to the fullest. Start right now.

  1. Hi Heather, I was being guided to your website from your facebook page. I have been seeking ways to get better for months already; however, doesn’t seem working at all. Therefore, I would like to seek for your advice. How can we live happily still when bad things keep happening in life? I appreciate if you can spare some time responding to this.     1. Hi Lawrance, Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I’m sorry to hear that your life is not going the way you want it to. I think we can all relate to working hard and being good people and still having bad things happen. I think the key to happiness is changing what we can and focusing on that and being patient while the other things work their way out. There are no magic words or things you can do… but just don’t give up. Have faith that better days are coming!

      1. Heather, thank you for your response. These days I have really been thinking of giving up. Sometimes it seems like there’s some little voice telling me to walk towards the cars and have them run over me. I have been trying hard to stay positive for the past 5 years, but doesn’t seem things go any better, actually, things get worse sometimes. I feel like losing friends and close ones maybe because I am just too negative for so long time, and sometimes I do feel like I cannot find anyone or a listener there for me. I am actually waiting for the appointment to meet with counselor to seek for advices and treatment. I really wish I can be just like you, stay happy and have a great time.

        1. Hi Lawrence, So glad you responded! First of all you are not alone and how you are feeling others are feeling the same way. It’s impossible not to have down times in your life. I always say that you have to have bad times to recognize and appreciate the good times. You just have to have faith that there will be good times {and there will be, trust me}. I’m happy to hear you are going to speak to a professional. Please call them now and tell them how you are feeling and ask to be seen asap.

          Some of the happiest people have seen dark days and they have chosen to make sure they never feel like that again {many times with the help of a mental health professional}.

          It will be okay and you will feel better soon! Please call your counselor they will be able to help.

  3. We have to choose happiness and being positive. It’s a conscious choice. When you struggle with that, seek help. My husband used to think I was just kind of nutty because I always look for the silver lining. Like I have “good bad days” and he thought I was nuts but like I always say, it could ALWAYS be worse! So when there’s a huge snowstorm and it cancels really fun plans, that’s a bad day. But if it happens to be cancelled before we are travelling in that dangerous condition, that’s a good bad day!
