Last week, we had the opportunity to visit “Ghost Town Alive!” at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.

It was such a great time that I just had to tell you all about it! Special thanks to Knott’s for the invite! My parents who are season pass holders joined us for the day too. We have been coming to Knott’s since I was a baby and I love being able to continue the tradition with my own kids. This summer especially is going to be extra special at Knott’s with the new Ghost Town Alive!

Here’s a short description of the fun to be had at Knott’s Berry Farm over the next few months: This summer, the story continues a year after the notorious Mayfield Gang escaped the custody of Sheriff Wheeler.

There is even special merchandise for the summer!

Ghost Town Alive is all about an interactive experience, and when they say that you’ll get to participate in the story, they’re not joking! Emily loved being able to go up to each character and have them interact with her as if she had been part of the action the entire time! Knott’s has really come up with a revolutionary way for kids (and adults too) to truly interact with the park.

Emmy was, however, a bit apprehensive when it came to interacting with criminals.

Especially these bad guys!

I don’t want to spoil anything, but there might have been a part in which a certain criminal needed her help…

Emily chose to report him to the Sherriff. She’s definitely my kid, that’s for sure!

Don’t worry, everything isn’t just about criminal activity!

Emily also had so much fun delivering packages to and from different characters all across Ghost Town. The best part is, every character we interacted with had a completely different and unique story to tell!

After all, that playing, Emily was pretty tired out (thanks, Knott’s)! Luckily, she wasn’t too tired to forget to take a picture with these guys!

Or to play with all the different interactive exhibits available all around Ghost Town!

There was even the sweetest donkey!

We had fun talking to his handler about what we needed to make sure to get to in Ghost Town to maximize our trip! The tips the characters offer make the experience even better, so be sure to ask them all your questions!

Emily had been asking us for a while to be able to mine for gold, and she finally had the opportunity here! She was so excited! For an extra cost (around $10) you can pan for real gold like they did in the “olden days”!

Of course, we couldn’t leave without checking out some of the vegan options Knott’s offers year-round! It is such a lifesaver to be able to have full meals available for those of us who are vegan, or even gluten-free!

“Ghost Town Alive!” runs May 27th – September 4th at Knott’s Berry Farm.

Here is our vlog for our day at Knott’s Berry Farm. We had so much fun!!
