We are still feeling the back-to-school rush here at home, which is both exciting and a little overwhelming. I’m so happy to be partnered with CVS to share all about their MinuteClinic and how they can help you get it all done all year long and especially during back-to-school time. Disclosure: I’m proud to be working with CVS Pharmacy to help spread the word about #BetterHealthMadeEasy and how to #FindYourHealthy. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
I was talking to a friend this past week and the topic turned to how we both keep taking on more and more responsibilities, and yet, we still manage to get it all done.
But really, we both also acknowledged that we are never caught up and there is no secret to this level of productivity. We just do it. When our kids’ school needs more help- we help. If one of our kids comes down with a cold, life for the rest of the family still goes on, and we deal with it. We take care of our little ones and still get the day to day stuff handled. That is just parenthood for ya!
But that doesn’t mean we don’t have some tested tricks up our sleeves, because we totally do.
We are both masters at multi-tasking, have help keeping our homes clean, and we use all available services to make our lives better and easier. It should come as no surprise that MinuteClinic is one of my favorites when it comes to that. Over the past few years, they have been our go-to for most of our medical needs and they help us stay healthy and quickly take care of medical issues as they pop up!
For back-to-school time, MinuteClinic is an easy and convenient option for physicals and vaccinations that are necessary this time of year.
Whether we need a general wellness checkup for school records or last-minute clearance for sports, MinuteClinic locations offer quick physicals and can provide the forms you need. I love knowing that I can load all the kids into the car and over to MinuteClinic and get everything done at once. Since most schools require up-to-date vaccinations such as Tdap and Meningitis, a quick stop at CVS Pharmacy means a local nurse practitioner or pharmacist will administer those immunizations with no appointment necessary.
We also have been using the CVS mobile app or going online to see wait times and hold our place in line so we’re not spending all day waiting.
One of the best parts is that this is complementary to the amazing relationship we have with our with our daughters’ primary care physician. Their doctor knows their medical history so it is important for her to stay in the loop at all times, but because she is located outside of the area where we live, we love being able to visit MinuteClinic for these issues and then with our permission, MinuteClinic will send a report of the visit to her.
It is also important to note that MinuteClinic accepts most insurance but also offers out of pocket pricing. Choosing MinuteClinic can result in up to 80% cost savings over higher cost of care options.
MinuteClinics retail medical clinics are conveniently located inside more than 1,100 CVS Pharmacy and Target locations. They offer walk-in care seven days a week with evening and weekend hours too and are perfect for all your travel health needs.
I have used Minute Clinic a ton of times, mostly for vaccinations and little aches, pains, minor injuries etc. There is one really close to me, which is awesome.
I will have to remember CVS for those quick Dr. visits. Cvs is so much closer to my house than the doctor.
I can totally relate to the back to school rush. However, I’ve never used the minute clinic but I’m now excited to do so. Glad it was a convenience for you and thanks for sharing!
I was not aware of minute clinic at CVS until now! I will check to see if our local CVS has one! How handy!
I have gone to a CVS MinuteClinic before in a pinch. I had no idea you could also get physicals for school at a MinuteClinic.
The Minute Clinics are great ideas, although the one by me always seems to take longer, just my observation.
I am based in the UK but for those in the US this sounds like a great idea! What an easy way to get those annoying little tasks done before school starts!
I had no idea that this was even an option. What a cool idea to make health care quick and easy.
We got our flu shots there last year at our local Target. Planning on doing the same again!
This is such a great idea to make healthcare a little less scary when it comes to wait times. I love that they have an app too.
It is really neat that they have an app! I love that they have made health care a little bit easier.
love the inspiration! i havent heard of minute clinic but this is such great information!
The minute clinics are great! I have not used one personally but know a few who have. I have never heard anything negative! I didn’t know they had an app though! That is pretty cool!
I like your attitude. Whining and dragging our feet when something needs to get done will only hinder things and make it harder. Just know it has to be done and barrel on through!
I really don’t have to deal with back to school rush since I don’t have any kids but I do help my sister with my niece and nephew bts.
I love Minute Clinic. They were the perfect place for school sports physicals and quick vaccinations. I take my kids there and go myself.
I love this post. It’s very helpful as am always taking care of my nieces
Oh this is such a cool post!! Really great to schedule and stay on track of things! Just go get it done!
I’ve heard a lot about Minute Clinic, but have never used their services. Looks like it’s super helpful, though!
I haven’t heard about the minute clinic. and I think I have to check it immediately.
The MinuteClinic is the perfect place to go to save time during back to school time. My sister uses the MinuteClinic CVS and has for a few years now. I do believe they are doing flu shots right now too. Thanks for sharing the information.
It is important for me to keep my family healthy. MinuteClinic seems a perfect option, Will check this out for sure.
I love back to school season b/c I’m no longer in grade school lol but I still loved it when I was in college. Life is definitely more hectic during this season
