Many thanks to the Great Parks Neighborhood for inviting us to a preview of their new community and for sponsoring this post.
Last Saturday Pete and I {along with the girls} attended the “Meet Our Builders” event at the future site of the Great Parks Neighborhood in Irvine.
The Real Estate Agent in me loves to learn about new communities for my clients, and the mom in me loves to see what new features builders are bringing to new construction to make life better for those that will be living in these neighborhoods. There are so many exciting aspects of this new development!
My favorite features of this soon to be built community are as follows:
- The Great Parks Neighborhood will be built around the perimeter of the Orange County Great Park. The Great Park will have lots of many family-friendly activities.
- The community will feature over 150 heritage trees that were rescued from the old El Toro Air Station.
- There are 20 miles of public bike trails planned… having a space for the kids and us parents to stretch our legs and get some exercise is so important… even more important is having a safe place to do it, these trails will provide this.
- This new community will be zoned for Irvine schools, which have a long history of teaching excellence!
- Location, location, location! I love how this new neighborhood is close to amenities that will facilitate better living, but also in an area that creates a real sense of community.
The Great Parks Neighborhood will be featuring collections from the following builders:
- K. Hovnanian Homes
- Lennar
- William Lyon Homes
- Pulte Homes
- Richmond American Homes
- Ryland Homes
- Shea Homes
- Taylor Morrison
I love the feel of this new community and these bikes set the mood. I imagine long summer days taking the whole family for a ride and stopping to enjoy a picnic!
I took a peek at the collection of homes that will be available and I was excited to see that there will be something for everyone. With thirty-one model homes each having between 1,750 to 4,200 square feet, these will make the perfect home for families of all sizes.
The highlight of this event was being able to speak to the builders directly and learn what makes each of their collections special. I took a special interest in Lennar’s new collection of homes as I have sold some of their homes before in other developments. Their homes are always attractive to buyers right away due to their “EI” or “Everything’s Included ®” program that includes the most popular upgrades and features automatically included in the purchase price. This makes choosing a home much easier.
New to me was Lennar’s “Next Gen”, and it’s pretty cool! With more and more Americans living in multi-generational households, Lennar has found a great way to incorporate changing lifestyles and different generations all within the same household.
I really enjoyed seeing the plans for the three new collections too! Roundtree, Beachwood, and Rosemist are all unique and appeal to different sized families with different needs.
I also had the pleasure of interviewing the Lennar Builders one on one. The insight into their unique collection of homes was intriguing and I’m so happy to be able to share this information with you…
Heather: Why did Lennar choose to be a part of the GPN?
Lennar: We have a longstanding history and great reputation for building quality homes of value in Irvine. We are very excited and looking forward to continuing this tradition with the introduction of our three new collections at Pavilion Park. They will feature ten distinctive floorplans including the first Lennar’s Next Gen – The Home Within a Home to be built within Pavilion Park, The First Great Park Neighborhood.
Heather: How are the GPN homes different from other collections you have created in other neighborhoods.
Lennar: At Beachwood, we are offering a desirable single-story floorplan that we are expecting to be very well received by homebuyers. We are also extremely excited to be introducing Lennar’s revolutionary Next Gen – the home within a home floorplan to Orange County, designed specifically for multigenerational living. We have given special attention and care to each collection and filled them with many extra details to make them unique, such as incredible included features.
Heather: Lennar has a long history of home building… where do you see Lennar in the future?
Lennar: The future of Lennar is really exciting. We are consistently looking for new land opportunities and aggressive in our approach to expanding throughout the nation. We are constantly keeping our finger on the pulse of new trends in homebuilding – from building environmentally-friendly solar homes to multi-generational homes, we are taking the company to the next level of innovation in homebuilding and providing homebuyers with even more choices and outlets than ever before.
Heather: What is your favorite design feature of the GPN collection of homes?
Lennar: We feature unique homes that offer great choices in dramatic architectural themes that display Spanish, Monterrey, American Traditional, St. Augustine, American Farmhouse, Monterrey, Classic Colonial, Farmhouse and Craftsman. Many of our flexible floor plans also offer quaint decks, porches, California rooms and much more, per plan.
Heather: How are Lennar homes different from the other builders in this community?
Lennar: We continue to distinguish ourselves by offering a variety of homes with energy-efficient green technology, our new multi-generational floor plan – Lennar’s Next Gen – The Home Within a Home and upgraded features included as a part of our Everything’s Included program. Our Everything’s Included program offers home buyers the highest level of value and quality they seek in a new home. The most popular upgrades and features are automatically included in the purchase price
Heather: What is the difference between your three products?
Lennar: Roundtree offers charming new single-family detached condominiums that present approximately 2,053 to 2,472 square feet of living space and popular included upgrades. Beachwood features both single and two-story homes that have quaint decks and porches, per plan and range from approximately 1,767 to 2,691 square feet of living space. Our Rosemist single-family homes are the largest of the three collections with approximately 2,924 to 3,404 square feet of living space and offer California rooms, porches, decks, and bonus rooms, per plan.
Hello Cookie! You guys know me, food always grabs my attention and this cookie was no exception. Just like with this adorable cookie at this event, I could see that the builders left no detail out when they were designing these new homes. This will truly be a community planned with the new residents in mind to provide them with a great place to live!
