My girls and I have a long-standing tradition of helping in the community.

One of our favorite ways is to help clean up wherever it’s needed. Sometimes it’s a someone’s house who just had surgery or in neighborhood parks. We also have one other thing we always do… we get dressed up in fun costumes. This makes volunteering even more fun! Good Scout Group knows that volunteering and donating your time and money leads to a better life for everyone. Good Scout Group is a social good consultancy that helps brands take smart, impactful and sustainable leaps in how they do greater good.

Charitable donations have a huge impact on the life of those that benefit and we all are a big group of givers!

More than $358 million was raised in 2012 by an elite group of 63, million-dollar-plus charity checkout campaigns identified by Cause Marketing Forum.  In aggregate, these large point of sale donation programs have raised over $2.3 billion in the last 29 years.

Ever wonder how much your charitable donating adds up to? According to the Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council, the top thirty “thon” fundraisingprograms raised $1.68 billion in 2012.

Whether it’s at retail, online, through an event or in the mail, giving of our time and money is increasing year over year.  Good Scout is in search of donor preference, frequency and motivation as the charitable industry continues to evolve. With your help they can help raise even more money to help those in need and causes that are worth aiding.

Ready to get involved and let your voice be heard… oh and also possibly get a $20 Amazon Gift Card?

Awesome! Be sure to take this survey as well as sign up to participate in Good Scout’s focus group option at the end! The survey helps to understand our views around charity and being asked to donate to charity. Those selected to participate in the focus group will receive an gift card valued at $20.  I took the survey myself and it was simple and took just a few minutes to complete. I felt like it was a very simple way to help be a part of a greater good!
