Are you guys feeling the summer heat?

We totally are here in SoCal. It is like summer finally showed up and it feels good! Since the afternoons get a little too warm for outside play and we still want to keep moving, we took an adventure to Sky Zone, the original and premier indoor trampoline park! We had so much fun!

By “we”, I mean the kids and Pete too! Ha! Look at that jump! These are the best days when we can be together as a family having fun! I am really feeling how fast these years are flying by and my goal in life is to enjoy every single second of our time together as a family. We spend a lot of time as a group when traveling, and back at home we all focus on school and work. I’m always looking for ways to maximize family bonding in the little ways, like breaking up the day and getting away for an hour of fun.

After jumping around the main floor area (Freestyle Jump) from square to square, it was time to explore the rest of the fun things to do! From trampoline dodgeball and dunking basketballs, to the foam pit and the warrior course, there is something for everyone to have fun! They even had a couple private birthday party rooms where you can host your next party! While we were there, we saw two separate parties and Emmy has already asked hat we have her party there too!

The girls loved the Foam Zone and I loved that they were getting in some good fitness time in the name of fun. With as much plane travel we have been doing this past month, getting up and moving is so important. Huge jumps are optional, but my crew couldn’t control themselves. Emmy just kept saying how cool this place is.

It also helps to have big sisters that will come and “rescue” you even when you don’t need it! Since our family has kiddos of different ages, and Pete (ha!) we love finding places like Sky Zone where EVERYONE has a great time!

After jumping around it was time for a little family competition.

SkySlam, the basketball dunk hoops is where that was at. We cycled through family members and kept score and took names! I’m not going to say who won, (cough, cough, EMILY!).

Emmy is not 40 inches, but we still explored the area that is for the shorter visitors. I so wish that I had known about this when the girls were younger and smaller. It was something we would have gone to EVERY day. Not even kidding! Look at everything in here!

As if it couldn’t get better- there was Ultimate Dodgeball! Jumping and ball throwing  = fun taken up to a whole new level!

Pete caught some major air here. Seriously I’m not sure who is having the best time. The kids or adults?

At the end of our hour, everyone was THIRSTY and ready for a snack. Thankfully there is a snack bar and they even have espresso! Em happily opted for a cold bottle of water!

This was what our local Sky Zone had, but of course, your local one might have different activities. If you are looking for a great way to spend time as a family, you will want to make your way to Sky Zone right away. Since there were benches and tables too, Pete and I plan to bring the kids back soon and get some work done while they jump and play! You can Find your local Sky Zone here and plan your next indoor family adventure!

How is your summer going?
